It's even easier when you figure out the software that comes with it will do almost everything remotely instead of trying to type on the tiny keyboard on the touchscreen. ... replacement for a 12-year old Brother and am very pleased with this model Bought this as a replacement for a 12-year old Brother and am very pleased with this model. Works great on Apple OS Yosemite. The only feature I have not tried is faxing, but other features are working perfectly. Based on my experience to date, I would recommend this printer to anyone, business or home user. Would have given a rating of 5, but only gave a four because I've not used the fax yet.

Trouble waking up from sleep. Finally found a solution. This printer is great. But I had many problems initially where the printer goes to sleep after 1min and the only way to wake it up is to power cycle. The issue was partially fixed after I updated to the latest firmware from the brother website. No doubt here. Great price, quality, and service. No doubt the best product for a price.
Great little workhorse at a decent price. Great for home use - easy installation, fairly quick, decent printing, responsive wireless, is a little noisy when starting up a print job (scares the dogs).

Perfect Home Printer for Macs Updating my rating from 4 star to 5 star now that I figured out who to do WIFI scanning. If you are using a Mac, launch Image Capture. On the left side, you will see "Shared". If you expand it, this printer will show up. And from there, you can scan wirelessly!
