Has a diverse student body; academics are okay, however it could be better (in my opinion). MAC is great for those wishing to pursue a career in the arts, performing or not. I've improved so much in my art since I came to this school, and I'd recommend it.
M.A.C allows you to grow in whatever art you choose whether it’s dance, drama, art, creative writing, and etc. The diversity of the school lets you meet new types of people and experience their culture. Mac is a great place for students to experience new things. Along with going to Mac you get many life changing opportunities
If you are looking to study the arts very heavily, this is the school for you. The music department prepared me for college readiness. I find that a lot of the music material I am learning in college, Miami Arts Charter prepared me for.
The teachers, faculty and staff were very organized. Choir program is great. Learned a lot and had a great experience. Campus is beautiful and the school is very secure.
What I liked about Miami Arts Charter is the possibility to learn through the arts. However, I do feel like they need a wider variety of AP classes and electives.
After coming from a small K-9 small that had one homeroom class per grade, coming to this school was overwhelming. It takes a while but you get used to everything, and you won't get lost trying to find your way to the bathroom. Though there has been some incidents in the past, the teachers and classes are wonderful. The sports is an exception that is understandable because it's a school focusing on your art and smaller extracurricular activities.
This arts school was an amazing outlet. You get in by auditioning; there is a variety of arts to audition for: chorus, band, orchestra, creative writing, photography, visual arts, and dance. They have a campus right in the middle of the design district, also called Wynwood. It was a great experience.
Miami Arts Charter School is an excellent school that is strong academically and in the arts. We just found out it has been ranked an A school and has been named a College Success Award winner. We couldn't be happier!
I had a good experience while I was enrolled in the performance arts school. It was one of the first schools I had ever attended. Overall, I learned a lot that I hadn't known; mostly social. The academics were usually very good; however, as the years went on, the curriculum changed and it wasn't as advanced as before.
