This is a great school with a great program but unfortunately it is a little too dynamic, meaning courses tend to drop and come back, many teachers switch out per year. The really good ones stay though.
Most of all, I felt comfortable in this school, and learned from two very important art teachers in specific. I was taught to critique and overall develop my artwork.
I have attended Miami Arts Charter since the sixth grade, and overall it is one of the best art high schools in Miami.
When I first enrolled at Miami Arts Charter, the school was still fairly small which made it truly seem like a family! Even during my last year at MAC where the school had doubled the amount of students, it never failed to make me feel at home!
I have been attending the school for the past 7 years. Over the course of my career at Miami Arts Charter, I have gained knowledge in my course of study as a Theatre student. I have had the ability to study in the fields of Acting both Modern Classical, Makeup Design, Costume Design, Publicity Design, Choreography, and more. I have also had the opportunity to advance my academic studies having the possibility of taking part in Honors and Advance Placement classes. The school is pretty cool. The teachers are very committed to their students. There art programs are very good they work hard to be the best they could.
I was a dancer. There's a lot of favoritism and repetition. Not always fair to students. The academics used to be good, but they changed the curriculum and now it isn't . You don't really learn much.
Throughout my time at Miami Arts Charter, I got the amazing opportunity to do what I love, visual arts, while academically learning with other artistic peers. This school has given us all the amazing opportunity to learn while doing what we love.
So far my experience with this school has been fine with little issues on the academics and teachers.
