The arts departments are high quality. The academics aren't too bad but they don't live up to the arts.
Miami Arts Charter School is very Diverse with there students, since we all are from different Arts we are all super different and its refreshing at some points. The students are very welcoming as well, and the teachers are very open as well.
Miami Arts Charter is an exceptional school that allows kids to focus on their arts as well as their academic curriculum. They provide us with the top notch education system, allowing us to reach our full potential when it comes to grades, test scores , homework and classwork. MAC also teaches us time management as we're not only juggling school work but also our own individual arts including after-school rehearsals and shows.
Been at that school since 6th grade and I'm a senior now. There are some things that could definitely improve especially the administration aspect, but overall I wouldn't trade my experience here for anything.
Miami Arts Charter has been an essential part of me developing my musicianship and getting me ready for that route in college. I would just like to see the school take more initiative with helping more students reach their full potential and not wait for a minority of students to stand out on their own and that is when the student gets the attention they need from the teacher.
I appreciate the lax atmosphere at Miami Arts Charter, as well as the immense support children, get from their teachers.
It's a good school. I do think it's a good school if your interested in the arts except creative writing, photography, and visual arts, they are not performing arts and they are not treated as good as chorus, theater, dance or instrumental. It's a relatively easy school, they're isn't much competition in the academics. There is drama like any other school and it never bothered me that we dont have a sports team or games. Clubs are bad and doesn't even exist in a constant timeline
Miami Arts Charter provides vigorous academics and strives to cultivate their scholars with interdisciplinary education, friendly atmosphere, and professional staff. While art education should receive more focus and have greater standards and opportunities for their students to improve, it is important to note the strength of the English and Math department, and little improvement needed to social studies core. Miami Arts charter has created an amazing learning environment for me. the teaching methods are different and very helpful toward artists. This school has given me so many opportunities to be successful after graduation.
