Dr Merz replaced my husband’s hip a year ago. We were so impressed that I went to him for an arthroscopic procedure. He is very kind and compassionate. I finally have relief from my groin pain!
Dr. Merz went through my current and 9 year old X-Rays in detail and explained that my hip pain wasn't caused by problems with the previous hip replacement but could be solved with therapy (either on my own or with the EmergeOrtho therapists. After 2 surgeries the past 2 months I was unable to exercise which weakened the muscles. I'm working on that now.

Dr. Merz has been treating me for a bone on bone condition. He is knowledgeable and has suggested treatments that have allowed me to postpone knee replacement surgery. He thoroughly explains all options and works collaboratively with you to determine the best solution for your problem.
I highly recommend this provider and the EmergeOrtho practice. Dr. Merz listened closely to my issues and concerns, evaluated my x-rays and conducted a physical exam. He then recommended a course of action, which included a prescription for the pain, an OTC pain ointment and a recommendation for physical therapy. He answered all of my questions, and kept asking me if I had any additional questions.
