Dr. Merz is a kind and caring Doctor who really cares about his patients. He is smart and qualified in his field of medicine. He did hip replacement surgery for me and I highly recommend him.
If you are looking for a hip-replacement surgeon, you've found him (I can't speak to knee replacement). Great surgeon, great bedside manner. He did my hip-replacement on an outpatient basis; I went home the same day, was walking with only a cane after a week or so.
Dr Merz never made me feel rushed during my appointment and answered all of my questions. My knee surgery was very successful and I would highly recommend Dr Merz.
Dr. Merz is truly a gifted surgeon. Over the past two years he has done a complete knee replacement on both of my knees. He has fantastic bedside manners, he is patient, he cares about your “story “, always gives different options to consider, and as a patient makes you feel comfortable with the decision that you choose. I highly recommend Dr. Merz for any knee or hip issue! Dr. Merz is in the field of medicine for all the right reasons!
I would highly recommend Dr Merz to anyone needing a TKR. He totally won me over when he sat on the patient’s table with his Star Wars socks on display to listen carefully to my questions and concerns regarding my surgery. I met with Dr. Merz, primarily to get a cortisone injection in my knee for my arthritis. He was delightful to talk to and took my mind off the pain of the injection. And, he patiently answered all of my questions.
Great experience with total knee replacement
Total knee replacement on Dec. 1, 2020. 7 weeks later it is like it never happened. No pain, a little discomfort no more worrying about falling. All staff were very professional and supportive toward getting me back at my best. Getting surgery during covid was a little concerning. The Speciality hospital made sure myself and staff were kept safe and covid free. My PT experience was the best. PT staff worked with me to get my knee back to normal with alot of work and support.
