The Dr. and nurses were great, however their billing department leaves a lot to be desired. Nikki, the supervisor was extremely rude and unprofessional after my insurance company advised I call back and inquire about the incorrect codes that were used. They were not upfront and honest about all the charges they tacked on. Nikki and her colleague Kim did not know how to help and could not connect me to anyone that could. Do NOT I repeat do NOT put yourself through going to this urgent care. There are so many in the city. This was one of the worst experiences I have ever had. Irresponsible, rude, dirty and horrible. So I went in this hell hole in terrible uterus pain. Stabbing and awful: I asked the doctor to run every test possible to try and figure out why and find the solution. The visit itself was not great. This is the most horrible work space for a manger , I came and sat down and just watch and observe and the way the MAs act and work , question of why would they get hired in the first place whoever making the calls to employ these people is making a horrible mistake and it's showing through out different location. I feel bad for all the TMs thats dealing with this bad behavior just because of Midwestern making bad choice
I visited the clinic on Chicago in River North. This clinic doesn't even deserve 1 star. I went in for pain in my side. I received my results only after I called for them, I asked that I speak to the doctor to discuss my results since the results I received showed that I shouldn't be on the medication they placed me on. We visited Midwest Express Clinic on Broadway Chicago because my daughter has an ear infection and her ear is oozing. After paying $140 to see a nurse practioner, she wrote us a prescription for a 5ml bottle of ear drops with instructions to use 10 drops every am and pm for TEN DAYS. YET, 5ml of ear drops lasts ONE-TWO days and my daughter is still sick. I called to ask if they could provide me with a service. I was assured they were able. I registered, talked to the front desk, explained again, waited, met the intake nurse, she took my vitals while I went over my reason for visit again. Finally the provider comes in to tell me that they can't prescribe a controlled substance. Which is whatever, company policy. I get it. There was no one in the waiting room but it still took a minute to get taken back. Then when I got taken back the nurse or tech asking the questions and swabbing me did not wear gloves once or wash her hands. She even accidentally dropped something into the trash and picked it back out to use again. Very unsanitary especially when everyone coming in here is sick. Then I had to wait in another room for my results to come back. The practitioner there was very nice and helpful and used gloves and hand sanitizer.
They billed me as a sickness visit for preventative care. I called many times to ask why they would charge it as an urgent care visit when I spent 10 min there and only got a vaccine. No help. They do not care about their patients. Front desk staff is worthless. They need competent people to overhaul the whole operation. You will be billed for things you did not receive. Good luck. Walked in because I was feeling sick. Received quick and good medical service and staff that day was very friendly. However, they billed my insurance as an annual checkup, which it wasn't. Since they didn't inform me it was an annual checkup, I went to my regular annual checkup two months later, leading to a huge bill since my insurance only covers one checkup per year. Called to see if they were willing to change the way the claim was processed and they were completely unwilling to and not understanding at all. Very frustra... read more
