I love my Mini Countryman but this dealers referral system sucks. I referred 2 people that both bought minis and basically got nothing...after complaining in person since nobody returned my phonecall, the sales manager gave me a whopping $20 discount card. So much for referrals..

Brought my fiancé's car in on 12/19 for service and to have a buzzing noise rectified in the rear of the vehicle. Upon driving the car home I noticed the noise was still present. I brought the car back the next day (12/20), and later that evening, I was told the car was ready. It wasn't until I got all the way to Ramsey that I was told the buzzing noise "couldn't be replicated," and their fix was to just buckle the rear seat belts. I have recently purchased a 2011 All-4 Mini Countryman and would have liked to say my experience with this purchase was a good one, but, it has been a nightmare. I came into the dealership with a “pre-built” car ready to purchase as close a replica to my pre-built car as possible. After reviewing my pre-built Countryman, Ms. Hilyer located a car that she claimed was in production, which was similar to, but lacking in color, finish, accessories , but would be delivered within five weeks. We knew exactly which MINI we wanted and it was just a matter of finding a dealer who had one. Prestige turned out to be that dealer. The salesman we spoke to on the phone set up an appointment with us to look at the car for 2PM the next week and he made a point to tell us that he had already scheduled appointments for 11AM and 1PM. So 2 it was - or should have been. We arrived at 1:50 and noted that he was with customers. Our Mini was involved in an accident and we brought it to Prestige (where we purchased it) to have it fixed. One excuse after another and a three week promise to fix it has turned into 6 weeks and counting. They installed the wrong radiator, they carelessly burned through the rear bumper when painting it (by using the wrong paint apparently) each mistake of which they admitted as their fault, has delayed the completion of the job. I went to Prestige in Feb 08 to have an oil change. The quote was $84, a little higher than other Mini dealerships, but given the falling dollar, it seemed in line. I asked the mechanic that would be working on my car to do a visual inspection of my tires because I'd had some thumping noises coming from the rear of the car.
