Well, we've been pretty pleased so far. My loved one seem to like it. There seems to be events at the community, so that's good. The food could use some improvement, but it sounds like they are going through some staffing changes, so hopefully they will have a new chef soon. The consistency of the staff could use some improvement too, but the staffing changes is part of that as well. Overall, it's been a good fit so far.

Business response:

Thank you for providing feedback on your family’s experience. While there has been some transition in our community, we assure you it is always in the best interest of those we serve and we thank you for your understanding and patience during this time. If you have suggestions you would like to share about how we can improve your dining experience, we’d love to hear them! Please reach out via email to [removed] and be sure to include “Atria Vista del Rio” in your subject line.

I LOVE their activities! They have college kids come in and dance with the residents, and it is just so cute! The church service is not really a service, but more of a bible study. Also, the food is being fixed. The old chef is gone, and the food is already getting better! The location was perfect, and in a time crunch, we couldn't have asked for more. Carol, is very persistance, but very personable as well. I didn't feel sold by her, but joined by her. We had a long discussion about needs, and it didn't take me long to make... read more

This was a great place, we loved it. They were clean and friendly. The activities weren't enough to draw our loved one out of their room, but we weren't unhappy. The food was pretty ok. Definitely one of the better communities in the area.

Neither Carol Thornhill or Kelly Kenne were available to conduct our tour due to conflicts, Abbey was a great last minute host and did an excellent job. All of my many questions were answered and we had a thorough tour of the facilities. We have been friends with one of the recent residents and Abbey arranged that we were able to seat with our friend during part of the lunch hour. Knowing that a trusted friend of ours is happy at Atria Vista Del Rio is very reassuring about the possibility of our moving there. Atria is locat... read more

We toured this location while looking into options for my loved one. It was a nice enough looking place, and the staff were friendly. However, we had a very specific level of care we were interested in, something a step above assisted living but not quite at the skilled nursing level, that was not available here.

My mom is in the Life Guidance program so that includes the first level of Alzheimer's care and so far it's been great. What we really liked was that my mom wasn't quite ready for a true Alzheimer's unit. She needed something in between and she's getting what she needs at Atria. So far we've been very pleased with that. They treat them like they're independent but they're still monitoring them and making sure they do certain things. From that standpoint we're very pleased. The only thing I would say is on move in I didn't f... read more

This was our second choice out of all of the places that we visited. It was nice, but it was a little large for us and felt a little less personal.
