I've reviewed the gym in the past however, I feel it is only fair to update as I have begun to visit other Mountainside's and realize that when compared to other Mountainside's this one is likely the worst I've visited. I frequently take the extra 5 minute drive to go to the Surprise location because the childcare at the Happy Valley location is borderline dangerous for smaller kids. It's always daunting leaving your children in the care of others- but we are BEYOND pleased with how well by the staff in the kids care program treats & cares for our little ones. They know our children's names by heart & are excited to see them each time we come in (which makes dropping them off all the more easy on my anxious mama heart). Our children love their "teachers" and so do we! With the family membership at Mountainside in Peoria Happy Valley we have had the best experience. Our young kids get to play at M kids under the Incredible supervision of Emily, Delaney, Treesa, Ashley, Tori, and so many fun and kind staff. Because we have so much trust in the M kids staff, my spouse and I can workout and make health and wellness part of or daily routine and it has been life changing for us. I've been a member for over 7 years and I have nothing but good things to say about this location. Equipment and facility is always clean. Casey and the rest of the Faculty are always welcoming when I enter the facility.

I've been a member of mountainside for 8 years and have been coming to the Peoria location for the last 5 years. They have a half-court basketball setup, spin classes, yoga, daycare. No pool. There is a sauna. The machines are nearly always in working order. The free weight area is a bit cramped, but there are plenty of benches and dumbbells. at the lake pleasant and happy valley location there is a fitness instructor named sephany who I've seen multiple times kick people off equipment in the main gym for her class. I watched her walk up to and elderly member this morning and do this same thing. The members nicely asked if she could finish up because she was almost done to which sephany said no ma'am are policies are clear take it up with staff if you have a problem. I love this location! All of the front desk workers are so kind and greet me and my littles with a smile! And I love the child care center. My 4 and 2 year old LOVE it there!!

They hold your membership hostage. I moved out of state and called to cancel my membership and they refused to do it over the phone. Member services said the only way to cancel was to come in person or an official notarized letter which is a huge hassle to take off work midday to find a notary, which also costs a lot of money. I told member services that I will cancel my credit card associated with the account and they said go right ahead, that they will send me to collections and ruin my credit.
