I would give this a better rating but this rating is purely based on Dylan King; he's a salesman at mountainside and he's extremely manipulative. Mountain side overall is an amazing gym, just look at their website or ask for a tour. The staff there are top notch with the exception of Dylan King. I believe businesses are ethically obligated to look out for their customers. But with regards to Dylan King, he thrives off manipulation and corrupt business practices most likely for personal gains at the expense of other people. I... read more

As someone that was in club management for many years in the D.C. area, I'll do my best to give a fair review. I'm only giving two stars for the following reasons... I will say that the club is very clean. Hands down, they have a crew that comes in during the day and thoroughly cleans the equipment and the amenities and they do a very good job of it. Other clubs have a bit to be desired in this area, so I'll give MS a big thumbs up for that. They also have a great variety of equipment for everyone. Free weights, a big assort... read more

After a year of coming here is still two stars, Facility equipment has improved and the staff still wonderful, but if I hear one more excuse about their cable provider and the kind of service they receive, I am going to hold payment from my bank, I just paid an annual additional fee for club improvements and the TVs still not working. Get it together people everything else is working fine.

Business response:

Hi Dorania, I understand your frustration with the tvs. Our tech was able to work on this location today and get a majority of the issue repaired. There is still a problem with a couple of channels that will be addressed this evening and we will follow up in the morning on.

I received a flyer which read that the first month is free and zero enrollment so long you enroll by end of month. Much like the offer you can see on their website at this time. As an attorney I always know that you have to read the fine print as there are going to be additional costs, but I was a bit shocked when I was actually charged for the first month. I didn't really mind as we were mid-month, thus it wasn't that much. Yet, the fact that it was a bold face bait and switch didn't sit too well. Plus, I really don't see w... read more

For $43 a month you'd think there'd be better customer service and friendlier staff. Not a very welcoming environment to walk into.

I've been in my new home for about 5 months. During those 5 months, I've wanted to test the Mountainside Fitness gym that was literally across the street. Why I didn't is why many people don't. The process is one of the worst consumer experiences I have every experienced. Over the past 4 months I've checked in on their website. The cost has always been the same. I thought about just signing up and dealing with whether I even liked the place after the fact. They offered a 5-Day free trial. I printed it out and looked at it fo... read more

They waived processing and enrollment fees for military and public safety. They charge an extra $20 each September for club updating. Doing hyperextensions a guy stoodthisclose and stared at me while I finished. Never in my 15 yrs of going to gyms have I ever had a person do this. This is sexual harassment. Guess what... mountainside has no policy and the excuse "we have a lot of older people here that don't have good gym etiquette". More motivation to finish my home gym.

Business response:

We always offer the zero enrollment and zero processing to veterans and active military. Please give us a call to get this resolved. 480 889 8889

I joined this fitness center mostly because the child care can't be beat! I love how they will change diapers, feed, and give them something to drink (if you provide all these things of course!). I also love that they have a bouncy house, lots of toys, video games for the older kids, and a closed off area for little babies. I also love that I can watch my kid on camera from any cardio machine (did I mention there's one at every one?). And the fact that you can pay a little extra to drop your kid off while the parents can go ... read more

great equipment, and lots of equipment so never waiting for a machine. What More can u really want out of a gym. Negatives: staff is SUPER antsy to get out at closing hour. Radio, TVs get shut off 20 min early. They tell you they can't make protein shakes cause it's closed down. Maybe my membership should be prorated for all the amenities I lose the last 20+ min of each day
