Not super impressed. Crowded with teenagers. Equipment was ok but only 2 squat racks. The only TVs in the cardio area are the screens built into the cardio machines that are just too damn close to see.

So had to write an update....and it is even better!!:) Not only do I still love the cardio equipment, towel service, and steam room:) but love the energy and vibe this gym always has! Not to mention is always so clean....can't say enough how important that is compared to other places I have been. Every single person that works the front desk is always so professional and nice. My wife and and I have been members of this facility for 15 years. I can't understand why it takes so long to repair equipment when it goes down. Currently, there are at least 4 pieces of equipment that haven't been operational for 2-3 weeks! The facility is not very clean. I never see any attendants wiping down equipment or vacuuming. Men's locker room is dark and dingy. This facility needs a major upgrade. It does not reflect properly on the upscale neighborhood where it is located.

My wife, son and I went walked into the gym and told them we want to sign up for a membership. The front desk associate said "would you like a tour" and we said yes. We filled out a form and were told to take a seat at a nearby table and someone will be right with us. Meanwhile, at Guest Services, the Guest Services representative was clearly having a social interaction with someone that was much more important than speaking with a new customer. Gym is good, lots of choices for machines. I have had a contract for personal training for over a year. I am in my second year and I have gone through three trainers because they have all quit. It is hard to keep up progress with my fitness goals when I have to go through a new person every six months or so. The personal training manager is very passive aggressive and does not have conversations with any clients especially during all of these changes. There is a major issue when these machines are out of order for months at a time the manager tries but obviously the owners or corporate managers don't care. This is an ongoing issue and has been for years. They need more of these or at least keep them working.

Great spot for a pick up game of hoops on any given day. I balled out and dunked on some high school kids here last week and it felt good. Check this gym out they have good weights too!

I love coming to Mountainside fitness because I enjoy the fitness classes they offer. I'm not much for lifting by myself so I enjoy having an instructor there to tell me what to do. My favorite classes are the spin/cycle classes. I only rated them 4 stars because I REALLY wish they had more spin/cycle classes throughout the day. I would love to take two classes a day but I don't want to come back at 6 to do it. It is a great facility- the support staff are great - very polite and truly focused on the members. The towel service is handled professionally and timely. The equipment is current and crept very clean. I would recommend to anyone interested in getting fit. The facility has both steam and sauna rooms within the gender locker room.
