We switched our mortgage company midway through the home buying process and we were so nervous we were going to lose the house (we were under the gun to get financing done) and Rob Ferger ROCKED IT! Very helpful and friendly when we first started, but felt like I had to ask for lots of updates and things needed, and we ended up cutting really close to closing, not as comfortable as I would have liked. She made some nice concessions for us here and there, but also told us she would honor float down if interest rates ever went down and would let us know, which they did decrease but we were not notified at all and by the time I realized and brought it to her attention, it was too late.

You actually timed your lock very well. Rates jumped up .50% shortly after we locked. It is true that the rates fell right before your closing date but, they had only returned down to the level you were currently locked into.
