About Us In 1995, Sheri Fastenrath, DVM identified the need for an emergent care facility for owners and their pets in the Huntsville area. Unfortunately, there were not many overnight emergency options for medical treatment in the surrounding area. RecommendedDr. Bell & all of the staff at Animal Emergency & critical care were wonderful!! We were there for a few hours, as we were there on a very busy Saturday night. Dr Bell, Lauren & the whole staff gave us great care & helped our sick pup. We had a tremendously good experience for the trauma we were facing & were very well cared for. The vet tech team identified the pills our pup was given from the place we got her that were causing her to be very sick, and helped her immediately. We are grateful. 🐾💞

Very fast and friendly! I’ve only used one vet for 12 years with my Bengal cat but when Tinkerbelle had a problem with her eye on a Saturday we visited the clinic. I was definitely anxious about using a new place but I was very happy with the level of care we received. 😊

The staff are incredibly kind and helpful, understanding and caring. They helped us in every way possible to give our baby Tito the best treatment they can and what we could afford. I highly recommend going here for your pets. The staff are friendly and supportive. They are reassuring and empathetic when you cry - giving you some time to see your pup before you have to leave them overnight. They are very detailed and give you all of the information you need and will explain it in a way you can understand given all of the heavy information.
