Great place to visit. Staff is very friendly, helpful and take great care on their staff.

Business response:

It is always a pleasure to have our partner clinicians in our community learning the programs and services that we have to offer our residents. It is refreshing to have our hard work recognized! How we cultivate our team allows us to deliver superior care for our residents in both our assisted living and memory care programs.

These past months of being unable to see our ninety-four year-old mother would have been even more difficult had we not known in advance of the kindness of [name removed] and his wonderful co-workers. We are particularly grateful that, due to the vigilance of the staff, residents and workers remain virus-free. We look forward to thanking them in person right after we hug our mother!

Business response:

It was an absolute honor and pleasure to care for your mother while she was here with us. Thank you for your review and having the confidence in our team during such a trying time with our doors closed to non-essential visitors.

We toured this community when we were looking into care options for our loved one. I just didn't think this place would have been a good fit for us. The staff were all very friendly, and seemed to take good care of the residents, but the facility itself just felt worn down. Some areas had a noticeable odor and just looked a bit dirty. Another big issue for us was that there was no security or alarm on the front door, which would have been a problem since our loved one has wandering issues.

Business response:

Thank you for your review. I am pleased that you saw Summit Place’s friendly associates providing quality care to our residents. Naturally, our community has aged since its original construction in 1999, and like all senior living communities, accidents happen thus leading to occasional odors. We applaud our housekeeping department for keeping our home clean and addressing accidents/odors when they occur. We reserve door alarms for our award winning Memory Care community, which is a neighborhood adjacent to Assisted Living. ... read more

Summit Place is wonderful!! We are very happy with them. We toured four different places and I knew from the moment I walked in that this was the place for her. Scarlet was wonderful, from the moment you get there, she sits down and listens to you she was very attentive, and really seemed interested to learn about my mom. Of course it's clean, and the staff is friendly. Plenty of activities, and the food is good. We don't have any complaints.

I had a nice tour when I was there. It's new but it's about a 50 minute drive from my house so it was a little to far away. I needed to find something closer.

The reason I chose “Summit Place” was because of their reputation for quality care. Its grounds are very pleasant with plenty of shade and nice places to go for walks. Mom hasn’t complained about the food and she seems to be adjusting well. I will happily talk to anyone about “Summit” and recommend them. They are the best that’s available in town.

Understaffed and few resources with proper qualifications to take care of residents. Multiple turnover of leadership personnel in short period of time. Some heroes but not enough. There is a lot of room for improvement here.

My father stayed 6 weeks at Oaks of Beaufort. He was told to do his own laundry though he can't. Trash from moving was left in room two + weeks. The bathrooms're small, hard with a walker. There is no bathroom fan. Broken TP+ towel racks. Dirty laundry sat stinking. Day staff let me know the night staff sleeps on the couches rather than working. This causes staff friction. Staff also complained about low pay and insufficient health insurance. The food is unappealing. The servers are sullen. Activities not offered. The van fo... read more
