Service Department… I was told that my engine air filter as well as cabin air filter would be fine until my next oil change. I went ahead and took a look at myself and they were both absolutely filthy. I don’t think the technician even bothered to look at them. I’ll be doing this myself from now on. Looking at the picture below, I don’t think it looks like it would’ve made it very much longer
The pandemic has not seemed to impact the way O’Daniel does business in the modern tech age. This is definitely a dealer with traditional tactics that focuses on getting people inside the door in order to initiate the games you all know too well. If you are looking for a traditional (and likely frustrating) car buying experience, this is the place to go.
We agreed to buy a Honda Ridgeline for listed price of $5500, as-is. Salesman wanted to send a few pictures of hail damage/dents before finishing the transaction. I received the pictures and text him we will take it, write the purchase agreement up. I called less than 5 minutes after texting, and salesman says price is $7500. BAD BUSINESS.
Business response:
Hi Collin, We made a mistake on the pricing and it rarely happens but it does happen from time to time, and we apologize. We noticed the mistake the next day and changed the price. If you do a search of similar Honda Ridgelines for sale on Car Gurus website for example you will see that our truck was clearly mispriced way below market value in fact at the corrected price we are still the best deal available in a nationwide search at $1339 below market value.
DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH O’DANIEL HONDA! 4ish years ago I took my 2007 odyssey here for the 100K maintenance and was told it needed 5K of repairs. I took it for a second opinion and was told it didn’t need half the things O’Daniel tried to tell me it needed. I never did make those repairs they said it needed and 4 years later it still runs just fine. I swore I’d never go to O’Daniel again! Fast forward to today...my 2007 Ody is pushing 200K so every once and a while I look around for another used one with low miles. O’Danie... read more
Business response:
Mrs. Santiago, I'm sorry that you feel this way. Urbano is correct, our policy is that we do not hold used cars off the market. We feel its not fair to a customer that drives to the dealership with the intent to purchase a car at that time. Unfortunately, this can sometimes happen on the most desirable cars. Once the unit is sold and delivered it is removed from our website in a matter of hours.
my daughter bought a car 2 weeks ago from the dealership on 78th and Dodge, now the left front drive shaft, control arm, right front control arm bushing are broke, and tire rod may be broken. Repair estimates are over $1,000, the repair shop said they would have known of this damage - it didnt just happen in less than 2 weeks. O'Daniels says sold "as is", but this is outright fraud! They would have known of the damage and didn't disclose it at time of sale, or reflect it in the sale price. Will NEVER do business with them ag... read more
My mom’s tires were stolen whilst O’daniel was working on her Honda. They were special Italian mini wheels and over 4K new and hard to find. The situation has been very stressful and traumatic for my mother. Unfortunately O’daniel is not covering her loss while the car was in their care. She may file a claim with her insurance, but it will cause her premium to go up, so she isn’t sure if it is worth it. My mom has purchased 3 cars from O’daniel Honda. I doubt her next car will be from O’daniel. I hate to be negative, but... read more
Business response:
Emma, It is unfortunate that someone decided to steal your Mom's wheels and tires while her car was here. I'm not sure if you have talked to her but we did put brand new wheels and tires on her car for her at no expense to her. Admittedly they are not Italian wheels but she seemed happy with the solution.
The absolute worst customer service ever. I do not write reviews but I urged anyone who considers O’Daniel Honda to have to checked by a mechanic prior to purchasing. I unfortunately made that mistake. I purchased a 2014 Dodge Durango from them, I live 2 hours away, after buying and driving home there was a screeching noise which sounded like the struts. I called the salesman, Vinny, whom told me that if it was something that was there when I purchased it they would cover the repair and to take it to my local mechanic. So I ... read more
Business response:
Haley, we do inspections on all of our Pre-owned vehicles and try to catch as many items as we can. its very difficult to determine what may go wrong on a car tomorrow or the next day. We also offer service contacts which would cover an item like this. Some people like the protection they offer, others like yourself choose to take the risk and pay the repairs as they are needed.
I was treated like I wasn’t worth their time. 1. Don’t call me honey 2. Don’t talk to me like I’m an idiot because I’m a female. 3. Don’t disrespect me 4. Don’t be a coward and have someone else call me to apologize for you. 5. For this you lost a sale The person you can hold accountable for this gross misconduct would be your general sales manager. I went to Superior Honda, I was treated with respect and kindness. Guess what ? I got everything I wanted in a new vehicle and more.
Business response:
Angela, Thank you for considering O’Daniel Honda for your purchase. We apologize that your experience was not what we strive for in our dealership. We use all of our reviews as training opportunities to ensure we continue to improve in all aspects of our business.
Customer Service is not important to this dealership. We purchased a used Honda Accord on Feb 4, 2020. Our temporary tags show expiration on 3/3/20. We started calling the dealership last week, following up on not receiving the title, only to find out they won't have it until a week after our temporary tags expire. They offered no apology or viable solution, and sales manager Orbano became belligerent with me on the phone, threatening to hang up on me multiple times. Telling me to talk to my husband, that my problem really i... read more
