First of all, service coordinator Juan was fantastic! Greeted me by my name and kept me informed about everything. Oilstop has been my go to place for oil changes especially since I prefer to wait in the vehicle. Up until the time I had to pay, everything was great. I indicated prior to the service I had a competitor coupon but when I presented it to the manager he asked if I realized I was at Oilstop NOT Jiffy Lube. I answered no to each question about purchasing additional services or products and yet when I was checking out there was an additional charge for an air filter that I did not order and an additional charge for something because I was told my SUV had larger capacity. I did not discover these charges until I was told the bill would be $166 at which time I got them to correct the bill which eventually came to $115. We are from out of state and needed an oil change. We were treated by Ezekiel offering us a drink or whatever. We were in and out within about 30 minutes. Javin and Ezekiel were both amazing and filled us in on what's going on every step of the way. We then got a free car wash and wipe down after. Hands down the best service that we have ever had with an oil change. It definitely made our wait very pleasant!
I came here to get my oil changed in my 99 Chevrolet Silverado. They did a good job I thought. When I got home 5 minutes after I parked in my driveway and after about 10 minutes I had a oil spot the size of a baseball in my driveway. So I called the store and they bring it back down. When I got there I had to wait for about 20 minutes for them to look at it. They found the leak was because when changed the filter they spilled oil on the skid plate. I've come here three times now and it's great having a trustworthy spot near me that doesn't charge an arm and a leg. Service - fast and professional. They don't push other services on you after asking the obligatory questions. They wipe down your windows and check your tire pressure, adding air as needed. Perks - you get to stay in your car and they offer you a drink while waiting. Pricing is reasonable. Tips - search online for coupons. I found one for $18 off. Today I waited over 2 hours in the sun to have my car serviced. There were 5 maybe 6 service people but no one seemed to be working ....several personal were joking walking around wrapping red cloths on cars spraying door hinges but not one steadily worked on one automobile until completion. I could have gone to the dealership and have had my car serviced in an hour. The only thing I had requested was an oil change!!!!
I been using Oil Spot for car washes for about 9 years. My cars are kept immaculate and generally I only get exterior washes. I use to get a four pack for $39 with one of the washes free . A single exterior was $11.99. Now it's a six pack with only one free wash. A single exterior wash has increased to $14.99 (25% increase). With tax and $2 tip it come to $18.25. My teenage daughter drove from Novato to Petaluma today and she got a "Coolant Hot" and "Engine Overheating" messages that came on while in Petaluma.
