We have bees in the walls. We called other pest control places and they could not come out for a few days. We called Orkin and they could come out the same day. However, what they don't tell you is that an "inspector" will be out to assess the issue. Your issue is not resolved that day. We had no idea. The inspector did not come out the same day. My tech, Allan, was great. No issue there. Their "customer service" people answering the phones are a different story. Don't call to get anything done - they are not helpful. Its as if they are reading from a script. I called a few times, most recently to cancel my plan. The person I spoke with did not seem interested in doing what I asked (I am the customer, right?), instead she barraged me with dumb questions and then told me I can't cancel until my balance is due. Why can't I give zero stars? They ruined my attic while replacing the insulation. They also burrried everything we had stored up there. DO NOT USE ORKIN FOR INSULATION !!!!!!
I wish I could add a half of a star; they don't even deserve that. I wish I could turn back the hands of time, and Orkin would have never stepped foot into my home. It was the worst experience I have every encountered. Let me tell you, my story. Orkin was supposed to remove all blown and battered insulation from my attic, sanitize the attic, close all entry points, spray repellent in attic and add 12 inches of insulation back into the attic. They were literally the worst company that could have ever hired we have done more pest control since we hired them not to mention the fact that they have only been out here maybe four times except for a couple of emergency visits but they're supposed to been here 12 I'm completely upset with their customer service which is lacking in every facet and I would not hire them. They're only getting one star because I had to put a star.
DO NOT USE FOR ATTIC INSULATION REMOVAL. They charge 50 percent more than other companies. They will use scare tactic to try to force you to sign contract. Once you ask questions about itemized costs, they will give you a response of "it's generated by the system"
We have been Orkin customers for quite a while and though the technicians have been professional and tried to be helpful, Orkin has been unable to resolve an ongoing issue with mice and the customer service has greatly deteriorated. I've repeatedly been told a manager would either come to our house or call me back and repeatedly have had no return call and the manager has been a no show for a scheduled appointment. I had an appointment for ant control and the Orkin folks never showed up during the 2 hour window. I called as a reminder and was told they'd be there in 15 minutes. Still no show. Wasted 3 hours. Not even a phone call about what happened. The following week, no call back after I called to ask what happened. This is an unreliable firm. They talk a good game on the phone about how 'professional" they are but they are anything but professional.
If I could give zero stars I would. Have tried for almost 3 weeks to set up service for cicada killer wasps. Customer service has been fine however no one from the branch office in Eldersburg, MD ever calls back within the timeframe I am given. I have had to work through Customer Service to communicate with the branch office. Took almost 3 weeks to finally get appt scheduled and then the technician never showed up.
