I wish I could add a half of a star; they don't even deserve that. I wish I could turn back the hands of time, and Orkin would have never stepped foot into my home. It was the worst experience I have every encountered. Let me tell you, my story. They were literally the worst company that could have ever hired we have done more pest control since we hired them not to mention the fact that they have only been out here maybe four times except for a couple of emergency visits but they're supposed to been here 12 I'm completely upset with their customer service which is lacking in every facet and I would not hire them. They're only getting one star because I had to put a star.

DO NOT USE FOR ATTIC INSULATION REMOVAL. They charge 50 percent more than other companies. They will use scare tactic to try to force you to sign contract. Once you ask questions about itemized costs, they will give you a response of "it's generated by the system"

We have been Orkin customers for quite a while and though the technicians have been professional and tried to be helpful, Orkin has been unable to resolve an ongoing issue with mice and the customer service has greatly deteriorated. I've repeatedly been told a manager would either come to our house or call me back and repeatedly have had no return call and the manager has been a no show for a scheduled appointment. I had an appointment for ant control and the Orkin folks never showed up during the 2 hour window. I called as a reminder and was told they'd be there in 15 minutes. Still no show. Wasted 3 hours. Not even a phone call about what happened. The following week, no call back after I called to ask what happened. This is an unreliable firm. They talk a good game on the phone about how 'professional" they are but they are anything but professional.

If I could give zero stars I would. Have tried for almost 3 weeks to set up service for cicada killer wasps. Customer service has been fine however no one from the branch office in Eldersburg, MD ever calls back within the timeframe I am given. I have had to work through Customer Service to communicate with the branch office. Took almost 3 weeks to finally get appt scheduled and then the technician never showed up. Avoid this Orkin. Trust me. One of the worst companies I have ever dealt with. Completely unresponsive. They never let me know when my monthly appointment is and therefore I'm never home when they arrive. I've complained about this repeatedly for 2 years to no avail. I emailed and called the manager Clayton Rorie about it multiple times and gotten no response. I've told the technician about it at least 20 time, but it never changes. Getting answers out of this branch and company is frustrating. Prev home owner had Orkin termite bait so I decided to renew. Before I closed on the house I set up an account and I was told over the phone cost would be $400 or so and there is no service transfer fee. After I set up the account they told me no it's $990. When I told them about the $400 they said no you called someone else. We asked before signing a contract what exactly was covered. i asked specifically would they not only get rid of mice but fix the problem that is allowing them in my house. She said yes to both. Then the technician came and showed us what WE needed to do...I said I thought he was suppose to do that. No real answer. The next day an inspector came from orkin.
