Great fun evening. Delicious dinner by 4 differing menu selections.
We celebrated our anniversary here 2 years ago and returned for another fabulous meal! The Osso Bucco was fall off the bone delicious and the chicken parm was perfect. We enjoy this authentic Italian restaurant- unexpected for us to find such a great place in a more touristy Gaslamp area.
With all the many choices in the Gaslamp District of San Diego, I am very grateful that I chose Panevino for an Italian lunch. The entire staff was very welcoming and accomodating to this single diner. My waiter, Roberto, was attentive, friendly and helpful, and others on the staff stopped by to make sure all was going well. Excellent food and service.
Great food. Service was a bit slow, but our waiter was really nice. They sat us right by the hallway to the bathroom and where wait staff congregated and it was not a pleasant experience. The food made up for that fact.

Friendly authentic Italian food with excellent flavor. Buratta and tomato appetizer was excellent and the Seafood pasta special was outstanding...very fresh seafood and spicy sauce. The service staff was attentive and friendly. The price was on the high side but overall our dinner was excellent.
The service and bread were outstanding....we stopped in because of the reviews on Yelp......if adding truffles to a pasta was $8.00, as recommended by the wait staff....that should have been stated....you could not even taste them! The pizza was barely baked and not very good.
My fault for not asking when evening specials were listed without a price. Shocked when I received the bill and realized I was about to pay 21.95 for a burrata caprese salad. Not worth it. Very friendly staff but listened to a new staff person being trained in the entire time I was dining on the outside patio. Not very relaxing for a 100 dinner bill.
