Had a great experience here tonight! The Short Ribs were outstanding so the Malfati, witch are homemade spinach raviolis. Also great kids menu, the kitchen staff was very flexible and accommodating of our family needs. Ambiance is casual and you can feel this is a family owned business, the staff seemed really happy and very friendly. I recommend this place for sure.
It was a great experience! Best Italian I had so far un the US and I'm Italian! Pasta was cooked to perfection and lots of great wines to choose from. Service was top notch, make sure to ask for Giuseppe or Sabrina, they were great and made our dinner even more enjoyable. Will be back for sure.
Food was very fresh and delicious but it was outweighed by the terrible service. Sabrina never came back to check on our order (which was wrong), never provided more water, and we struggled to get the check from her. Another waitress took notice and came over and asked if we wanted coffee and dessert before she did! It was ridiculous. And it wasn't that busy!
Excellent Italian restaurant in San Diego when we visited 9/2016. Extremely busy on Sat. nights and we had a reservation but had to wait about 7 minutes. The staff was very apologetic and gave us a complimentary appetizer. The food was excellent, including my chicken Parmesan ! I would certainly return, remember that most weekend nights are very crowded mostly due to large parties of 10 or more.
Surprisingly the BEST filet mignon I've ever had. Magnificent!
Best Italian meal we have had in SD. We will go back often.

This place is a gem in the middle of the Gaslamp district! Best italian in San Diego! The place is the oldest Italian restaurant in downtown and the food is consistently great! Wine menu is impressive, had a bottle of Amarone to pair with our Ossobuco and Lamb raviolis... Yum! No wonder is a place I keep coming back for more.
