When I first started seeing Dr. Chabaan, I liked the work he did (although very painful needles!) and his staff was great, happy and helpful. Almost three years later, I can hardly believe how much this has changed, in a big way. Dr. Chabann speaks rudely to his staff, constantly complaining about them (whilst I'm sitting in the dental chair. ) His needles are even more brutal, than ever, he doesn't even tell me I'm getting a needle.He runs people through there like they are cattle, and he uses a Taser gun. I went to this dental office for a check-up and cleaning. I was told I had some work that needed to be done, however, after seeing how this doctor treated his staff I decided to go elsewhere. Turns out the work has already been done, and the doctor was simply going to "redo" the work for no reason at all. Make sure you do your research and ask questions. He is not truthful ALWAYS get a second opinion.
I've been a patient at Oxford Dental for about the last 20 years, which is why I stayed when Dr. Chaaban inherited the practice. At first I was really overwhelmed with how good the service was. When I first saw him, it was my first appointment in 2-3 years since I was now uninsured for the first time. Money was an issue so I asked for no x-rays. I'm not sure how he has so many positive reviews. He's disrespectful and extremely unprofessional. In the middle of my appointment he left the dental hygienist to hold my lip for 20 minutes while he took a phone call. He has yelled at his staff on more than one occasion in front of patients. I would not recommend this dentist to anyone. I am currently looking for a new one.
While the dental receptionists are kind and professional, Dr. Chaaban treats them without any dignity or respect publicly. When he is not yelling at them, you can hear him yelling at patients at the back. He does not create a safe or honest space in his clinic and I would not recommend him to anyone.
Definitely will never come back. I brought my mom, so we can both ask for a receipt stating that I will not be charged for a tooth that they made a mistake on and didn't fill my cavity all the way. (I brought my mom because they wouldn't give me anything at first.) The dentist said we we're "insulting" him and his office all because we wanted something in writing, stating that they will not charge me. He is so rough and not kind or gentle whatsoever. I can not understand where all the "5" come from for this dentist. Since he purchased Oxford Dental, I have been trusting enough to go there hoping "things would change". However, I will no longer book appointments with Dr. Chaaban. He is extremely rude to all his staff. Discusses personal issues in front of patients.
