Pacific Vet has been taking care of my Dogs and Cats for over 10 years. The staff is friendly and is very helpful. Pacific even helped me thru end of life care for my 15 year old Pup. They were sympathetic and offered quality service with a kind hand. Thank you.
I have been using Pacific Vet for almost twenty years now. I have seen every vet in the clinic and I have to say I am thrilled with the care I receive from each of them. I think the front office staff are great and the techs. (I see only briefly) seem to be pretty great too. I would reccomend this clinic to anyone wanting excellent pet care.
The vets at Pacific are truly incredible. We brought in our two cats for a routine check-up with Dr. Twardzik when we moved to Portland, and both she and the technician were great - friendly, thorough, and very mellow and gentle with my freaked-out kitties. When my especially skittish cat developed a serious abcess in his mouth, they were able to get him seen by Dr. Nolte in less than 2 hours after I brought him in. Dr. Nolte was great, calling me twice during the day to give me updates on Joey's progress and working with me... read more
We used to take my childhood pets here and after moving back into the neighborhood, my husband and I started taking our wonderful and very gentle and sensitive retired service dog to get treated. All started out well until Covid hit and they no longer let people in with their pets. They may have had turnover then, but the new vet recommended we do muscular shots at home with little guidance which we were not equipped or comfortable doing. We said so many times. Our dog had just had replacement surgery so the shots were to hel... read more

We take your feedback seriously here at Pacific Veterinary Hospital and we are sorry for your experience. We are actually unable to find you in our system nor does the visit you described sound familiar to us so please feel free to reach out to us at (503) 246-3373 to discuss your concerns further.
LOL.. Abusive language? Nice try, but no one used abusive language. The only thing abusive here is the way you treat your clients. Don't get on Yelp and lie. All anyone has to do is look at the last 10 reviews on here and it's clear what your business is really like.
Business response:
Thank you for your feedback, Brian. As you were made aware, abusive language toward our team members will not be tolerated. Best of luck to you.
I would personally like an apology after being gaslighted and disrespected by the manager, Julie, after not speaking with me directly, yet sending a letter via snail mail explaining my dog will not be seen there anymore. I was told that I was no longer welcome back, due to a misunderstanding that a receptionist had conveyed to said Julie, and instead of management following up with the client as well, they took the easy route (and not the professional one) leaving my vulnerable furry friend uncared for - yet now all I read... read more

We are sorry that you feel this way; however we stand by our initial statement (copied below). We sincerely hope your pup is doing well. Original reply to: Sarah C We understand how difficult and emotionally exhausting it can be when a family member is ill, has to be hospitalized, or have surgery. It is clear to all of us that you have great compassion and love for your pup and all he has been through. We always want to help our clients navigate the health care issues of their four legged family members. That is w... read more
No star. We used to use this veterinary. They got re-bought and apparently they have no workers. Earliest date for some simple shots is mid June. Going to have to find another vet. Love my dogs!
Business response:
Courtney, the hospital is owned by NVA and is operating with two veterinarians and limited staff. I wish you the best of luck with your future veterinarian, and apologize for any trouble our scheduling has caused.
Just so everyone is aware Pacific vet hospital was bought out by corprate investors and has truely gone down in service. Many employees who worked for years in this small family owned at the time business have quit or retired due to corprate being such a shit show of an owner. They treat the employees like garbage under their shoe and scheme behind these employees backs to replace them and fire on the spot. They have taken everything these employees have work hard for away such as raises, good insurance, earned higher wages ... read more
We've been going to Pacific Vet for 8 years, ever since we moved to Multnomah Village. Dr. Grossen was wonderful, but she's now retired. The other two newer vets who joined more recently have both quit. Only Frost is left, and we've had very poor experiences with her. I don't know whether the place will stay in business. A staff person (who, btw, was very friendly and helpful) said a new vet was joining in late Dec. I'm not willing to risk it; we're looking for a new vet.
Business response:
We are still thriving despite the fact of losing a few of our veterinarians to retirement. Things change, and Dr. Brennan (our new managing DVM) and Dr. Frost are proud to be part of the NVA family at Pacific Veterinary Hospital.
