This place is all about bolt on sales and don't let you know it's additional charges for every single thing. I've gone 2x now and the first time for shots was over $300. They wanted to charge $2500 for teeth cleaning and removal of a few teeth. Then the second time was for a possible eye infection and walked out paying $240. They continued to try and push me toward a pill that was no needed. After I said no, it was mentioned 3-4 more times. I was charged $52 for a "wound cleaning" without mentioning that there was an addit... read more
I have taken my cat here a couple times. Both times I felt like the vets were trying to make me pay for something without taking into consideration the age or life expectancy of my cat. My cat was almost 17 years old when I brought him into this vet's office. My cat was sick, lethargic. The vet said that it was because my cat's teeth had receeded into his gums and he had an infection. I was told that I needed to extract all of my cat's teeth and this would cost $2000, but it may cost a little more, the vet wouldn't know unti... read more
I have been coming here 20+ years and have just had enough! 1 - This place is constantly trying to gouge you for every penny, at every turn possible. And our dog is totally healthy. Today it was a $215 totally optional ultrasound they tried to get me with at the last minute. 2 - Each procedure is more expensive than e competition to begin with. Go ahead and shop around. Nails clipped? $25! But if you buy 10 you get one free, wow what a deal! (Sarcasm) 3 - you won't see the same vet twice. It's like a revolving door of rand... read more
I wish I could give zero stars to a business like this. This place is more focused on making money than dog health and its disgusting. As a relatively new dog owner I am very upset with the feeling of being pushed to buy vaccines they may or may not need as well as being up-sold. I told them 5 times during the course of our visit that one of my dogs had his 3 year rabies and did not need another one yet. It got to the point where the Vet had the needle in hand when I reminded them a 6th time and they stopped. This place to m... read more
This place is an absolute rip off!!!! I'm new to Parker and adopted a rescue kitty (she came with all her shots and preventive treatments). Unfortunately, she also came with ringworm (it didn't present itself for over a week after I brought her home). The vets are knowledgeable, but they upsell and overcharge on everything. Example - I was charged $23 for nail trimming (her front paws are declawed). I'm out $325. Of that amount $60 is for actually treating the ringworm. Unless you like paying exorbitant prices on serv... read more
Business response:
We're sorry that we failed to meet your expectations. While our records differ from your account, it is obvious you feel we let you down. Ringworm can be a long and difficult infection to treat and hope Cleo is doing well. We are continuing to monitor her current fungal culture and will call when the results are finalized. Please feel free to call us directly with any further questions or concerns.
They refuse to work with 1800Petmeds. My animal is required to be on daily medication and prescription food for the rest of her life. most vets would understand the need for anyone to save $100 a month by going through 1800Petmeds. Park Center Animal Clinic does not understand this. They think it is wrong of me to try to save $1,200 a year for what I hope is another 5 years or more of my animal's life. It is just a money hungry operation, with no true care for their patients or their patients' owners.
Business response:
We appreciate your concern with regard to the cost of pet medication. I wanted to give you an excerpt from 1800PetMeds Investor Report stating how they receive their medications: "We currently purchase a portion of our prescription and non-prescription medications from third-party distributors and we are not an authorized distributor of these products... Historically, substantially all the major pharmaceutical manufacturers have declined to sell prescription and nonprescription pet medications directly to us (1800PetMeds)." ... read more
If you like HIGH prices and a sales office this is your place. My family loves animals and we've seen several vets for 20+ years, and this is the first vet that has been ALL about the money and pushing unneeded preventatives. They try to scare you so you buy their products. My old vet was half the price and treated us like we were part of the family. Huge difference!! I will NEVER go back. An example, my cat got some rash or burn on his back and he was recently there two months ago for his annual checkup. We were char... read more
This place is HORRIBLE. We just moved from California and had to get both our dogs heatworm prevention. The vet tech seemed so unsure of her job. She was second guessing everything she said. The vet wasn't much better. She said Colorado is a dry state and California is a wet state (California has been in a drought for the last 8 years) She also stated that my dog probably had fleas in California and brought them to Colorado. We bathe him every couple of weeks, he sleeps in bed with us and we rub his tummy and under arms so w... read more
