We have been going to PCAC for 17 years. We had a lab, now passed, a now a mastiff, pug and shitzu. They are fine for everyday shots, checkups.. however, my mastiff collapsed on Wed Nov 19th - we think he suffered a stroke or seizure. I called PCAC around 3 pm and said we would be bringing him to the clinic around 4:30 pm. Instead about asking any questions on his condition, they cold heartedly said "sorry we are completely booked today" .. I couldn't believe it. I was crying and pleading with them to see if they could sque... read more
PCAC has become a heartless, profit-driven organization. We've been clients at this clinic for the last 10 years, entrusting the care of numerous animals with them. When I took one of my dogs in to be neutered and have his stomach tacked (to prevent bloat), I picked up a dog that had been neutered and received an emergency splenectomy because they "accidentally" nicked his spleen during the procedure. As a result, my dog's stomach did not get tacked down. They told me I could bring him in for a subsequent surgery to have... read more
I quit going here because they did not respect my time. I took my dog in for a simple bordetella booster one day during my lunch hour. And then I waited, and waited some more. I asked the front desk staff how much longer it would be and got the standard "any minute now" answer. I didn't even need to see the doctor for this - it is administered by a tech. So I continue to wait while 3 of the techs are up at the front desk gossiping. 20 minutes later, one of those gossiping techs came and gave my dog his booster shot. S... read more
Business response:
I'm sorry you had a bad experience at our hospital, and I appreciate your bringing it to our attention. I would love to know about any problems close to when they happen so that we have an opportunity to address them. We certainly agree that our clients' time is of utmost importance. We are always here to help should you need us in the future. We wish you all the best. Kelly Motichka Hospital Administrator
Be prepared to be pressured or forced into spending more. Any reason you visit no matter how small will require a full exam and the accompanying expenses every single time.
My dog has a mass that needs to be removed. I called the clinic and had them update my previous estimate to remove 2 masses rather than 1. I received a quote by fax and a phone call from the Dr. the day I received it. The cost for the additional mass increased the estimate by $200. I went to another clinic to get an estimate as well (surgery is very expensive) and the cost difference was around $300 - so I decided to go with PCAC. The other clinic sent the additional mass information and THEIR estimate for the surgery fo... read more
I could have sworn I had already reviewed this place but I guess I hadn't. Well I've got a couple of cats that have been going here for a few years now, they don't end up going in very often but eh what can I say I've been in at least a few times. I do have to agree with the cost of clinic services, I'm positive you can find veterinary visits less expensive elsewhere. I, like another reviewer, felt pressured into doing an x-ray on my cat because she would meow loudly when you touched her back leg area... and of course they f... read more
