TO LIVE AND FRY IN L.A. In 2017, four childhood friends came up with a simple concept — take Nashville Hot Chicken and make it better than anyone else in America. With only a couple thousand dollars to their name, they boot-strapped a pop-up concept in a parking lot in East Hollywood serving a simple menu of tenders, sliders, fries, and kale slaw — they created a viral cult following with lines consistently over an hour long.

First time trying Dave's hot chicken. We ordered the slider with fries and tenders with fries. The sliders were so good! The kids really liked the tenders. I placed my order through the app and it was fast and convenient.
Excited to try this place! They did not disappoint. Many menu offerings for meat & plant based eaters. We enjoyed the outdoor seating. Misha was so sweet and helped us with trying different spice levels! We will be back soon. Download the app for perks
Let's talk about it. I like this place, but man, they're inconsistent. Some days the food hits like a dream, other days the mac smells like cafeteria water and the tenders miss the seasoning bus. Still--clears Canes any day.
It's a shame because this is my first order but, I just got the tender and slider combo delivered 20 minutes ago. The chicken was ice cold. I was only a 4 minute drive away but couldn't leave. It's literally across the street and it was ice cold. Good flavors and true to the heat scale, just sad ICE COLD Probably won't order again
The chicken was absolutely delicious and nicely cooked. It was a pretty and clean place with good employees.
Wow was I impressed with Daves hot chicken! From first glance they had a nicely designed inside, and a bunch of outdoor seating, one thing that also sets this spot apart from other local chicken spots is they also don't have a drive thru. The cashier was super friendly and described the menu in detail to me. I really found that great especially for being a first time. The food was so good I got the super spicy one and I could barely eat it but it tasted really good 5 stars.
If you want chicken this is your place! Dave's Hot Chicken is all about chicken and spice, and they do both incredibly well. If you like heat, go for the HOT it's packed with flavor and definitely delivers a kick & ahhh the honey is the perfect spread on top! We had the sliders, and they were amazing the spicy chicken with the slaw is the perfect combo. We loved it so much, we went back for another round of 10 bites! I'm already planning my next visit can't wait to try the cauliflower bites next time.
I purchased all of their basics. I got two sliders and two different flavors, medium and hot. I got two tenders with fries, medium and hot. The tenders and fries meal came out to about $13 and you had to buy a drink as well so I would say it's about $15 for a meal. In terms of portion size is not big but the food itself is good. It's not the best chicken I've ever had, but it's much better than the cheap fast food chicken. But I felt that the sandwiches were better than the tenders by themselves.
