Great communication
I was very happy with the experience altogether. They were not pushy like some other lenders were. They responded everytime I had a question and explained everything.
I was a little stressed because I've never refinanced before and the circumstance causing me to refinance was less than ideal but I was given updates on the process each week.
I started the process on December 23,2021. I had to do 4 different applications. It was ridiculous. My rate went up because of it. Finally once Mariela came to me things moved faster. She was the only reason I stayed with Pennymac. I was already an existing customer. It shouldn’t have taken that long.
I believe Noah was away when our loan was closing, so he started the process with us but wasn't as involved towards the end. Once the appraisal came back low, there were some questions/concerns, and also some misinformation related to the final loan amount and cash to close. This caused some confusion and a slight delay. It made it difficult because we moved from our loan processor, to the mac team ..which was Noah and 2 others from his team. I really appreciated that there were people on my “team” I could reach out to with specific questions. It was very helpful to have a point person on the team who had intimate knowledge of where the process was and what the next steps were.
It was a pretty painless experience. We only had a small hiccup at closing but we’re able to get it figured out pretty quick and still close. Thank you
