Process went well...
Everything went smoothly. I barely had to do anything but submit a few documents and answer a few questions and sign a few docs. No muss, no fuss. Great job!

It would be nice to see the typical length of each step, as well as what’s happening on PennyMac’s side, with the timeline status emails. There was an ENORMOUS disconnect between PennyMac, the national company they partner with for local notaries, and the independent contractor notaries. From scheduling, to expectations, to communication, to organization, it was an obnoxious game of telephone that no one knew the original/correct starting message.
I was sold on the idea that even though during the pandemic as long as i am on top of providing documents i could take 2-3 weeks to refinance. I am now writing this review over 80 days later, and we still aren't 100% finalized. During this process multiple employees had trouble explaining certain items and or seemed unable to explain certain calculations. Also during multiple occasions different employees would state complete opposite responses to some of my questions.
We been with pennymac for 4 years! Would recommend!
It's a long process (May6- July 14), but understandable as Pennymac is a huge company, anyway with these long journey, I was guided by Brian and provided me a weekly call to update me with what's happening with my loan. He patiently answered my never ending questions whether via email or call. Brian is a great great help! Thank u Brian and Pennymac!
