Already having a mortgage with Penny Mac I felt comfortable trusting them with an online application for a refi. The application was filled out over the phone and I only had to submit the usual docs. Closing happened within a couple of weeks and the Title Co sent the notary to our house. Very streamlimed process, happy to work with them 👍🏼
The one or two conversations I had with Malaika were good. The portal is just really poorly done, we needed the portal to ask for certain documents to be able upload anything and if we wrapped up one round of uploading couldn’t go back without requesting it and it never got done so we ended up emailing it. Also the requests for certain documents to start with didn’t make much sense to us… We’ve been through this process multiple times and knew what to expect but even then updates etc and reminders would have been helpful

The most impressive part was whenever I called I got to speak to someone right away and directed to the right person. Also the network of staff handling my loan process was efficient, knowledgeable, professional, courteous, friendly and willing to help me out. From the start to finish I got a call updating me of where things were and what to expect. My overall experience was wonderful to say the least and the whole process did not take long. THANK YOU!
