Get directionsI couldn't be more disappointed. Our dog was referred to PetER Columbia from our primary vet (whom we very much love and trust) because he was having cardiac symptoms and showing signs of dehydration and vomiting before a previously scheduled procedure. He was lethargic and his head and extremities were very cold. He also had a very apparent fluttering heartbeat. Upon arrival to the Pet ER around 2:45pm, I called and was asked to give a report of why we were there. Then he was brought inside by a tech and I was told he wou... read more
My 9 weeks puppy was wrongly diagnosed by Banfield, Ellicott City with Parvo Virus last week. They suggested hospitalization when she was perfectly normal. I refused and agreed for outpatient treatment. 3rd day I took her, although she has been playing normal except diarrhea twice and vomitting once. The good thing happened is they sent us to ER saying we missed our appointment time. Took her to Pet+E.R. Columbia. Dr.Sanha Kim attended and when he did the testing, it showed negative. He said, she doesn't look... read more
this is an absolutely horrible place to take your pet. I took my cat here a month ago after she had kittens and had 2 retained placentas at the advice of my vet. I was told she needed an ultrasound. They took my cat away from me and told me I had to make a choice, either my cat or her babies. They told me my cat was septic and would die(a complete lie!). They kept her in the back for 6 hours and away from her babies who were at home. The er dr came back and told me she needed a shot of lutalyse but told me they didn't have i... read more
I am not someone who likes to publish a bad review on a business. I prefer to reach out to them personally to discuss. But when the business fails to return emails and phone calls to discuss a bad experience, I have no choice but to post a review. We had to bring our dog in recently because he possibly had ingested medication he shouldn’t have. We were unsure if, when, or what he ingested, if anything at all. We were told by the initial triage tech that we had a 4 hour window to induce vomiting. After narrowing down a time f... read more
Business response:
Hi Katie! We just wanted to say ‘Thank You’ for your candid feedback, and giving us the opportunity to make things right regarding your visit to our hospital. It’s feedback like yours that gives us a basis to learn and grow in areas where we may need improvement, that we otherwise would not have been aware of. While we are sad that the original experience has tarnished your opinion of our hospital as a whole, we will always be more then happy to help you and your pets, should you ever need us again in the future. Thank you... read more
The WORST vet hospital I’ve ever been to. I had found a stray and went to get its microchip scanned. They took the dog from me and said it was now legally theirs. I would not have brought the dog to them if I knew they were going to take it. I was told by them that all vets have to do this and I know that isn’t true. I’ve brought in dozens of strays before to get scanned and they’ve never been taken from me.
Business response:
Hi Becca Wilson, after speaking with our teammates who were at the hospital when you brought the stray Husky in, you actually brought him to our Pet+ER Towson location not Pet+ER Columbia (whose page you left this review on). The husky that you brought in was significantly underweight, hyper-salivating, and tachycardic when we performed a brief exam after scanning him for a microchip. As per our processes, we did ask you several times where the dog was found, so we could file a ‘found pet’ report with the correct animal ser... read more
If you have all the time in the world to wait, they’re fine I guess. If you have a real emergency though, find somewhere else. I took my dog who had severely lacerated her leg and we waited for THREE HOURS to even be seen. Not a single time in that 3 hours was her leg even looked at. We were then there for two MORE hours for a total of FIVE HOURS. If I had brought a child in with an injury, they would have been seen IMMEDIATELY not left to wait for hours on end.
I just sat in a room for an hour and wasn't seen by a vet. We were the only people there at 6am. Don't take you're dog here unless you want to waste your time. I work in an ER and this is horrible customer service. Vets are lucky they don't have patient satisfaction scores.
