An unexpected visit on this morning at Day 2 of the new PetER in Columbia when Loki woke up lame. The staff here is terrific! Very caring, kind and thorough. I'm happy to report Loki is going home after clear test results. Thank you to Dr. Cucchetti and the entire team! You are such a welcome addition to the area.

I have tried to reach a manager at least five times to discuss the recent treatment of my dog. No one has reached out. I brought my dog into the ER 5 days in a row just to be told nothing was wrong with him. As my dog's health declined, I realized I needed to go elsewhere. When I showed up at Rocky Gorge they immediately knew that I had a very sick dog and I was told he would be hospitalized for 4 to 8 days. When Rocky Gorge called Pet ER for the records, they were "warned" about me, that I kept bringing in a dog that w... read more

Our 2 y/o Mastiff was admitted for testing. They kept her for 2 days, did not treat her pancreatitis, discharged her with bloody diarrhea, a raw vulva and she died of DIC two days post discharge.

Would not recommend coming here. My pup wasn't feeling well, she had been throwing up and hadn't eaten in 2 days. I proceeded to make an appointment which was easy, got a call to make my way up to the establishment, and was directed into the waiting room when we arrived. Me and my dog, for 3 hours, sat in the waiting room without any real help. She's still sick and I'm looking to take her to another vet. I told them I needed to leave for work because I didn't expect to be here for 3 hour's or more. They ended up prescribin... read more

Is this supposed to be an emergency location? I was waiting outside for 3 1/2 hours and they didn't even assess my 5 month old puppy who accidentally ate a chicken bone. They prioritized other pets even when they arrived after us. I understand that there are more important cases but THEY NEVER INTENDED to see what my little dog had. I called them twice because apparently they forgot that we were on the waiting list and even so, despite the wait, they did not help me at all because apparently what my puppy had was not ser... read more

Never go to this place. One of the doctors there didn’t even know what was wrong with my dog. We kept telling him we believed his swollen leg comes from callus infections, so it should be drained. He didn’t seem to be knowledgeable about the callus infection. I still don’t know what he did to my dog. The following morning, his leg got worse, I thought he was dying after we paid 1300 dollars and waiting 9 hours at that ER. Luckily one of our neighbors saw our dog who couldn’t even open his eyes and couldn’t stand up. She is a... read more

My Great Dane Molly began experiencing severe diarrhea and I took her to Pet ER at Columbia, MD. They recommended an ultrasound be performed instead of an x ray. The next day they called and told me that images showed a long linear foreign object in Molly’s stomach. I was told that surgery is recommended and was quoted $5,550 -$7,500 to have the surgery at Pet ER. Unable to afford that, I asked the vet if I was looking at having to euthanize Molly. She mentioned I could try a low-cost surgery center which would cost $1,200. ... read more

Was out early one morning walking with my 10 year old Cardigan Welsh Corgi Albert. He has always opted to take a break by laying in the grass, but this time I could not get him to continue. I called my husband to come drive him home. When I got back with our other dog, Albert still did not look himself. Our regular vet was closed for a staff meeting until the afternoon so I went to Pet-ER thinking Albert was overheated. Pet-ER immediately recognized it was serious and said they wanted to do some tests. Within the hour they ... read more
