This was my first dealings with Peterman. Ordered a whole house humidifier system and also purchased their yearly service contract for which they collected the first month payment of $20.00. The product was ordered on Monday January 27 and installation was promised by Friday January 31. As of Friday January 31, I had heard nothing from them regarding setting up installation time. I had a gas water heater replaced recently by Peterman, to the tune of $2800, which I've since been told is very high. I also signed up for the monthly service program. When they came out to check my furnace, I had to take the whole day off since they couldn't pinpoint even am or pm. So the service tech, who was great, charged me $200 for a part, then told me that I need a new furnace that would be at least $8000. We have a service contract with Peterman Brothers for our air conditioner and furnace that they installed a couple of years ago. Twice now when they have come out to do a routine Spring or Fall inspection, they have broken them. The technician came out yesterday, did his inspection, said everything was great, and this morning we woke up to a 60 house with the furnace not working. We had Peterman Brothers come to our home in ********** to service our furnace. After looking at our furnace, the technician said there was a crack in our secondary heat exchanger and that he was going to condemn our furnace. We needed to immediately buy a brand new furnace or else we could die from carbon monoxide poisoning. Ill try and make this short. My 72 year old father purchased a brand new ****** which he had to borrow money for and after a year and a half they are claiming they dont work on furnaces installed in trailers and now hes sitting here in December with no furnace because this s*** company doesnt stand by their work or products. They turn us away and tell us to call someone else. Not how you should treat customers especially 72 year old disabled people who are less fortunate then some. We are now going into 4 months on what was originally to be a 6 hour job...replacing 1 shower. Still not done. They have unlimited excuses and don't care since they have already been paid. Big mistake on our part. I would not hire this company for anything again. They are all about sales, not service. This is how they treat a disabled veteran.
We signed a contract with jfmiller back in April ********************************* our home. Jfmiller was then purchased by the peterman Brothers who has refused to honor the contract that they purchased when buying jfmiller. They kept either dodging my calls or just never calling me back. I had to call everyday for a month just to get then to come over and re-quote our job and add on an extra $4500 to do the contract they purchased.
Waste of time and money! The technician was clueless about electricity and how to help us. We were still charged for nothing. Will not recommend them for anything!
I was quoted $13k for a single stage AC unit with a free furnace for my **** sqft townhouse. It was a paper copy, which lacked itemized costs and component details (i.e. model numbers, coil brand).I never received a respond to my email asking for more information, as follows.
