This friendly neighborhood hangout feels like it's been around for much longer than it has. Probably because of the old black-and-white photos of Phoenix that cover the walls or the ease with which the patrons settle in for a casual meal or a drink at the bar. Whatever the reason, you will feel comfortable and welcome here. The menu features large portions of all-American mains with Southwestern twists. Pizzas and light bites perfectly complement a glass of wine, beer or cocktail from the bar.

This comfortable, friendly and consistently excellent restaurant has become our favorite spot to meet friends---new and old-- for lunch or dinner. The menu offers ample variety and some creativity at a reasonable price, and the staff is caring and attentive. Parking can be a challenge at peak hours so plan accordingly.
A family favorite for many years - consistently excellent food and service. We have never been disappointed!
We enjoyed our recent visit to Phoenix City Grill for an early Christmas dinner. We loved the fact that we could talk without yelling across the table and the food and ambiance were excellent. Our server was truly helpful when we were deciding whether to split the large ribs or order two of the 1/2 rib dinners. This was our first time for dinner though we have been there several times for lunch. We highly recommend this great neighborhood restaurant.
It does not matter if you are very hungry or just want a light meal. Phoenix City Grill can accommodate any appetite or taste. There is always a menu filled with many delicious choices. Everything is well prepared at a fair price. The noise level is low so you can have a conversation. The waitstaff is friendly and reservations are honored.
We always have our girls luncheons here. Love the large table on the second level as it is quieter. A great variety of food and always good! Always great service too ...
PCG is a good choice for a nicer-than-average family meal. We had several of the specials and they were excellent. 2 bottles of medium-priced wine were also very good (one was a special). Would highly recommend PCG.
We arrived for dinner at 8:30, rather late by Phoenix Standards. Our server was wonderful and did not rush us. We both had the Cowboy Ribeye which was cooked to order and arrives on top of a bowl of baked beans, very much comfort food and extremely delicious. The bread pudding and gelato dessert was the perfect topper for a stressful day. We left satiated and grateful at 10:30.
they ran out of the special pork chop two of our party wanted and the young waiter totally mixed up the 4 different orders of martinis (understandable), spilling one a little on one of us. Yet we had a totally great evening--found the food memorable, the ambiance lively and the wait staff just attentive enough.
Great trout dish, reasonable wine menu and pricing, quiet enough to have a personal conversation, and special enough to leave you with a pleasant memory. Give it a try and you will return again and again.
