This friendly neighborhood hangout feels like it's been around for much longer than it has. Probably because of the old black-and-white photos of Phoenix that cover the walls or the ease with which the patrons settle in for a casual meal or a drink at the bar. Whatever the reason, you will feel comfortable and welcome here. The menu features large portions of all-American mains with Southwestern twists. Pizzas and light bites perfectly complement a glass of wine, beer or cocktail from the bar.

We love eating here and it is obvious many other people do too. It is always busy! The food is wonderful and the happy hour is great for a lighter meal as well. Our table had the short ribs in a cabernet bacon sauce with horseradish mashed potatoes (to die for), the baby back ribs (always a favorite(, the filet in the same cabernet bacon sauce (I think) and the special fish of the day, a fabulously prepared sable in broth and vegetables. There are always really nice wines of the day, and the day we were there is was a Meiomi... read more
I arranged to have dinner for 8 people for my mom's 60th birthday. Mind you, the 'party of 8' includes adults and kids (15, 13, and 8 years old). I was traveling in from Boston and wanted to be sure we had a solid reservation and wouldn't have to wait to be served. When I looked at the menu online, I was impressed with the dinner options, but they didn't have a dessert that called out to me-- remember, I wanted to get something special for mom! I called the restaurant to see if they have any recommendations, and the manager ... read more
The PCG is our go to restaurant for almost any occasion. It is reasonably priced and has a great atmosphere.
Very good service. Easy location. Terrific food. Nice wine list. A casual neighborhood keeper.
Met a long time friend for lunch on a Saturday - we wanted to visit - had so much to talk about! Our server was amazing - ordered wine and she was very patient while we visited and decided what to have for lunch. We both chose the crustless quiche from the brunch menu - absolutely delicious. Never rushed us - we sat and visited even after our meal was over - had a table outside. It was delightful!
We went to Phoenix City Grill on a Friday night, with reservations. Food was very good, lots of interesting variety. Only criticism is that service was rushed - mail course arrived well before any of us had finished our appetizers. I guess try to get 3 table turns that eventing.
We were a large group in from out of town for work and went to Phoenix City Grille for our team dinner. What a wonderful place! The food was amzing & the serviceimpeccable, which is no small feat for a group of 22! The owner came over and intorduced himself and made sure that we were beng taken care of, what a treat. I had the pasta which was incredible and I tasted my co worker's short rib dinner which was also incredible. A ll I heard was raves from our group on how delicious the food was. I would highly recommed Phoenix C... read more
Wine superb, service great and food quality always top notch. My albacore tuna slightly overcooked, our server replaced the dish quietly and quickly. I appreciated that very much and allowed us to focus on our business without distraction. The Mt Veeder cab was superb. Thanks, Sheldon.
I have eaten at the Phoenix City Grill twice before. My wife, and guests, were here for the first time on Saturday. Our dinner was at 7 PM (with reservations). We thoroughly enjoyed our meals. Our guests were very pleased with the entire evening. My friend noticed that there was a meeting room adjacent to the main dining room. Since he belongs to several business and social groups, he was going to recommend this restaurant for an upcoming meeting.
