This friendly neighborhood hangout feels like it's been around for much longer than it has. Probably because of the old black-and-white photos of Phoenix that cover the walls or the ease with which the patrons settle in for a casual meal or a drink at the bar. Whatever the reason, you will feel comfortable and welcome here. The menu features large portions of all-American mains with Southwestern twists. Pizzas and light bites perfectly complement a glass of wine, beer or cocktail from the bar.

This is one of our "go to" places. Good meal on New Years Eve.
First of all I was grateful we were able to get a dinner reservation for New Years Eve dinner on just a couple days notice - big plus! The dinner was awesome and the staff couldn't be better. Only my third time here because I live in Avondale, and it's quite a trek to get here, but going to make it a point to come here more often. Thanks!
New Years Eve 2014, dinner at 4:15 out by 5:00, we each had a slice of green chile sweet cornbread 1.50, the short rib roast was amazing 24.00, the place gas horseradish mashed potatoes on everything. I loved them. My husband got butternut squash polenta instead of the potatoes. He loved it. We will be back to try the pork loin next.
Can't say enough about this place! Great food! Great Service! We will return!
We went to Phoenix City Grill for Christmas Eve Dinner. It was busy but not rediculously so. The hostess staff were helpful and friendly. We had a reservation for 6 people and we were seated promptly. The waitress was attentive and friendly. We ordered off of the special Christmas Eve menu and off of the regular menu. Everything was cooked as ordered and everyone raved about the food. It was a nice evening and we would go back.

Once again, we were so impressed with the great food and service provided by Phoenix City Grille. The food as well as the presentation of the food was excellent. Ambiance and service very nice. We love this restaurant!!!
wonderful menu My favs are: Bethany home salad, chile, steak tacos ( appetizer but can be entre w a salad) ribs, and of course buttermilk pie. Great comfortable restaurant
The two times I have eaten here for lunch have been 5 star dining. From the salmon to the trout the mixture of foods in each meal are yum worthy. I had to watch myself so I didn't constantly rave with a mmm at each bite. The ambience is very romantic with the use of dark wood throughout. Parking is a challenge. I found if you park in the back you can enter through the rear entrance and get a peek at the kitchen. If you are handicapped beware of the few steps leading to the dining area. There may be some seating without the t... read more
