This friendly neighborhood hangout feels like it's been around for much longer than it has. Probably because of the old black-and-white photos of Phoenix that cover the walls or the ease with which the patrons settle in for a casual meal or a drink at the bar. Whatever the reason, you will feel comfortable and welcome here. The menu features large portions of all-American mains with Southwestern twists. Pizzas and light bites perfectly complement a glass of wine, beer or cocktail from the bar.

Made reservations for 5:30 (on busy Friday night) since we were going to the theater@ 8:00! Upon checking with hostess and asking for the patio I was told we needed to sit indoors as a big private party was in progress. Being escorted to our table it was about 5 minutes before the server approached & I inquired if we were in time for Happy Hour. Our Server made our evening because she was very pleasant, fun and went with the flow. I had the plank salmon that was good and the margaritas (fresh squeezed juice not the mix) were delicious!! The Restaurant was flexible and allowed us to sit and order drinks and appetizers while waiting for the rest of our party. I would recommend it and the next time I am in Phoenix because it is not far from our Pointe Hilton . Parking may be a little tight but there is room around the building.
Our group loved the food and also our server was excellant. A fun place for a group to go and we loved the small plates.
I've never been disappointed with any meal I've had and neither have the other guests whether it's the delicious corn cakes, their superb salads, comfort food or the desserts!
I have eaten at the Phoenix City Grill somewhat frequently and have never been disappointed. Especially for lunch. Have a fine menu although I keep coming back to the PCG Pasta. Every time I take different guests they are as pleased and impressed with the food, service and ambience as I am.
There are many good restaurants clustered around 16th St. and Bethany. This is the best.
1st time there. Above my fairly high expectations. Have absolutely no qualms about either going there again or recommending it to anyone with zero reservations. The shrimp appetizers were exceptional. Gary
