My colleagues and I were in Phoenix for a conference and enjoyed dinner twice at the Phoenix City Grille. The menu is not vast but they do have some great items. The beef tenderloin and raspberry almond-crusted tilapia were the two entrees I enjoyed. The flavor was fantastic and the meat quality high. They do have a full bar with an interesting beer & wine list. The appetizers are quite good but a little expensive for the serving size. We may be the longest-visiting PCG patrons and that is not only because the food and ambiance, etc., is great, it is always, without fail, reliable. The service and food is head and shoulders above other restaurants with creative menus. I don't know how the wait staff is trained but if the secret got out...wow! Sheldon"s (the owner) presence is very important and he never fails to greet and inquire if we are satisfied. Of course we will return!

This was my second visit to Phoenix City Grille. The first was a Sunday brunch with an out-of-town long-term friend and this time for a business lunch. The hostess was very accommodating regarding table choice, given this was the first meeting with a business contact who was late and whom I had not yet met. We each had salads (his a beet salad and mine a cobb). Both were very good with generous portions. The room was energetic but not so loud that we couldn't conduct appropriate business conversation. We had a lovely evening at the Grille. We will return even though we live in Anthem, and it is quite a drive. We had the ribs, and The meat literally fell off of the bone. Yum!!The service was good and friendly. It was a bit noisy, but the good points outweigh the bad...

Fantastic food in a more residential area. A nice variety of food choices in all categories and the 5 people in our party are all goodies - in the restaurant business and we were all pl eased with the appetizers, food and drinks. We'll go again!

We enjoyed our dinner - food was well prepared. Loved the bacon wrapped prawns and beet salad. The only thing was that it took 2 hours. The service to our table, while adequate, was very very slow. We watched diners surrounding us come and go. This isn't the type of restaurant where you ponder over your wine and food. We had 2 kids with us (12 & 15) and wanted a nice meal and go. I would eat there again - but probably hurry the waitress along.
