This friendly neighborhood hangout feels like it's been around for much longer than it has. Probably because of the old black-and-white photos of Phoenix that cover the walls or the ease with which the patrons settle in for a casual meal or a drink at the bar. Whatever the reason, you will feel comfortable and welcome here. The menu features large portions of all-American mains with Southwestern twists. Pizzas and light bites perfectly complement a glass of wine, beer or cocktail from the bar.

Had dinner together. The service and food were spectacular. We will be back.
Phoenix City Grill is outstanding on many levels: a varied, American menu with traditional dishes with southwestern flair; a very good, reasonable wine list; a knowledgeable and attentive wait staff; excellent food from a very creative chef; and on-site local owners that are concerned about your total experience. Anyone in or near north central Phoenix should try this special place.
Their menu is unique in regards to how they combine different ethnic food. They will take a soy-ginger glaze, peanut sauce& jalapeño jam in the same dish. I have never been disappointed with their menu. I have been going there for at least 10 years. I have friends that come from Chandler because of their delicious menu and their relaxed atmosphere. They are friendly and their over all service is always top notch.
I have lived in central phoenix for many years and, although I was aware of Phoenix City Grille, I had never dined at this establishment until two evenings ago. I was initially pleased with the ambience and general surroundings and mood of the restaurant. Although the menu is somewhat modest I was very satisfied with my selection of the PCG Pasta. Although I ordered the small it was plentiful and extremely tasty. My other dinner companions also expressed a complete satisfaction with their meals. The service was fantastic and... read more
Dinning with a friends and had the opportunity to enjoy a delightful meal and have a conversation. No interruptions, & the night was perfect!
My previously listed experience with The Phoenix Grille mentioned that they had slipped. Today, we went back and everything was fantastic. The burgers were cooked to order, the drinks, perfect, and the Sea Bass Special was melt in your mouth delicious and not over done and rubbery. Thank you Phoenix Grille for listening to comments and returning to your usual standard of perfection.
Great restaurant with VERY friendly staff and delicious food! Most would drive right by this place and never desire to go inside and that would be their loss!
This place has been in this location for well over 20 years & is consistently packed on the weekends. This entire intersection (16th Street & Bethany Home) is restaurant central for the neighborhood with a wide variety of great places to eat. For that reason, I think there must be a lot of competition for wait-staff because our server got my wife's order wrong. Once the mistake was pointed out to her, she apologized profusely and almost immediately brought out the correct order, piping hot. No harm, no foul in my book but th... read more
Made me look like a star with my dinner group - I found the restaurant on Open Table knowing I would have a group from work in Phoenix. I'm from out of town. Everyone enjoyed their meal and even those local to Phoenix enjoyed the restaurant. It's always dicey picking something at random. I would definitely dine there again.
