About this business

RestaurantsAmerican

This friendly neighborhood hangout feels like it's been around for much longer than it has. Probably because of the old black-and-white photos of Phoenix that cover the walls or the ease with which the patrons settle in for a casual meal or a drink at the bar. Whatever the reason, you will feel comfortable and welcome here. The menu features large portions of all-American mains with Southwestern twists. Pizzas and light bites perfectly complement a glass of wine, beer or cocktail from the bar.

It's sort of a hidden restaurant on the east side of the strip mall. It might be easier to park on the north side and walk over. We were there at 6:45pm and it was already pretty full on a Monday night. I took the recommendation of the waitress on the food (Pot Roast) - and it was the best! The others in our group, also enjoyed their food. It was a perfect evening.

We've visited this restaurant far more than any other in Phoenix since moving here a year ago. The happy hour deals are a good value, the food never disappoints and the atmosphere is always relaxed. Lately the service in the bar has been slower, but we always decide it's worth the wait.

We went for our anniversary. The server was knowledgeable and friendly. Food food was excellent. We enjoyed the south west flavorings and spices in the food. We highly recommend the Phoenix City Grille for a very good meal at a reasonable price.

My husband and I went there for our 2nd year anniversary and what a treat it was! The server was extremely friendly and catering to our needs. My husband ordered the pot roast and I ordered the pork loin, both were cooked perfectly to our taste buds and beyond...beautiful presentation and scrumptious!!! It was early in the evening so the atmosphere was very calm. The decor was warm and the lighting was dimmed and relaxed giving it a romantic ambiance that made our special occasion a little more special.

Went there for 1st anniversary with my girlfriend. She got the tilapia which was a bit dry but I had the pot roast and it was very good. I also really liked the horseradish potatoes that came with (my gf didn't as much since she dislikes horseradish). After noticing a gift my girlfriend brought, our waiter asked if it was a birthday. We said anniversary and he gave us a dessert on the house. We picked bread pudding, which was also very tasty.
