I had dinner on Saturday eve with my two kids celebrating my daughter's 21st birthday. We all had different entrees (small portions offered) or amazing salads. We then shared two desserts, bread pudding and buttermilk pie - both were scrumptious! Their service was impeccable as was the food which made the night so much fun. It's hard to find the time in busy schedules to get together and Phoenix City Grille made it memorable!
We enjoyed their brunch menu which has several types of Egg's Benedict. This restaurant is never a dissapointment
I always visit this neighborhood find when I am in Phoenix. It has great service and food. Their specials and wine specials are always great. They handle groups well and I have never been disappointed.
We went around 12:30 and were planning and enjoying a leisurely lunch. By 1:15 we had the entire place to ourselves and the waitstaff was attentive but not pushy. The Cob salad was excellent as was the pork loin. My father had a special request for a bacon, lettus and tomato sandwitch, something not on the menu. It arrived on a homemade bun which he enjoyed very much.
Phoenix CIty Grill was highly rated on a couple of websites and we decided to check it out. While the food was good, the service was subpar to our expectations and ultimately the experience was basically average. There's nothing bad about the restaurant, but nothing really makes it stand out. We had the queso fundido to start, and two of the more popular entrees, the pot roast and the cowboy steak. Everything we ate was good, just not memorable. We would recommend the restaurant, just don't go out of your way to get there.

I need to meet new friends so I have an excuse to take them to Phoenix City Grille but mostly for me.
The most outstanding feature of this restaurant is it's staff. They were wonderful and accomodating. The Menu is varied enough to please a group of people with varying tastes. The music impeded conversation. It was a little high for a Sunday afternoon...more appropriate for Happy Hour.
