Probably because of the old black-and-white photos of Phoenix that cover the walls or the ease with which the patrons settle in for a casual meal or a drink at the bar. Whatever the reason, you will feel comfortable and welcome here. The menu features large portions of all-American mains with Southwestern twists. Food was great, ambience was great and service was pleasant. I would definitely recommend to anyone looking for great food and relaxing atmosphere.
The selection was varied and different from other restaurants and the restaurant permitted good conversation with the guests we were hosting to dinner. Service was attentive but not pushy and did not rush the meal.

My partner and I live over 40 miles away from Phoenix City Grille. A co-worker recommend it, and we have been fans since We made reservations there for New Year's Eve and probably had the best dinig experience we have had in Phoenix. The staff is exceptional, and we particularly enjoyed our service from Becca. She has a wonderful spirit, and was eager to take care of our needs.
Ambiance is also excellent, but could not check that category. Went for early New Year's Eve. Great to see the regular menu with a couple of specials. Pot roast and salmon on a cedar plank continue to be stars on the menu. Jack Daniels breadpudding is yummy!
