Probably because of the old black-and-white photos of Phoenix that cover the walls or the ease with which the patrons settle in for a casual meal or a drink at the bar. I was pleasantly surprised with how much I enjoyed this new dining experience having never heard about it. We took a friend who chose it as he goes there a lot, to celebrate his birthday. The food was simple but beautifully presented and we all enjoyed. Excellent choice lof wines by the glass at reasonable prices.

This place is a staple for Phoenucians in the know. We actually only came in for happy hour and ended up eating dinner. The sweet potato fries were seriously wonderful. Great dipping sauce! The asparagus perfectly grilled. The Malbec perfect to sip or eat with. I love that wine (that was a previous server suggestion on another visit) My friend had a salad with a rare ordered filet.
