Probably because of the old black-and-white photos of Phoenix that cover the walls or the ease with which the patrons settle in for a casual meal or a drink at the bar. Very good. You will not regret it.
The food was very good, our waitress was a sweetheart, but I didn't realize it was sort of a bar atmosphere. There's no need for dress up, casual is fine. I've seen people in their jeans in there. It was a little pricey for what we received, but it was good nonetheless.
Consistently excellent service and food. This is a Phoenix diamond.
My second time dining here and was not disappointed. A creative menu of familiar items served in a different fashion; combining dissimilar tastes and textures. Try the various chicken specials and the "Buttermilk Pie" for a good surprise. Low light dining in a comfortable setting. I would dine here again and again.
