About this business

RestaurantsAmerican

This friendly neighborhood hangout feels like it's been around for much longer than it has. Probably because of the old black-and-white photos of Phoenix that cover the walls or the ease with which the patrons settle in for a casual meal or a drink at the bar. Whatever the reason, you will feel comfortable and welcome here. The menu features large portions of all-American mains with Southwestern twists. Pizzas and light bites perfectly complement a glass of wine, beer or cocktail from the bar.

This place has a great happy hour which we have been to a couple of times so we decided to have dinner there. No comparison. The burger I ordered was very dry and flavorless. The bun was falling apart. The "beef sliders" ordered by a member of our group were slices of dried out pot roast on a bun. The shrimp appetizer ordered by another person was OK. None of the food was outstanding (a $12.00 burger in central Phx should be). Service was good. The wine list was unusual and fairly priced. I felt the prices were rather high f... read more

Nice place. Waitress did not read us the specials, heard them from the table across from us. Food was good...nice dinner place. Bar was nice. My expectations were high, due to others telling me about the resturant. I would rate it as average.

Nice, simple menu. The hummus appetizer is gigantic and comes with a scoop of veggies. The veggie pasta is way too oily for my taste, though some of the other entrees looked reasonably light.

One of our favorite restaurants in the Phoenix area. Highly recommend their outstanding food and service!

We dine at PCG at least four times each year. The food and service are consistently good, as is their impressive assortment of creative martinis. Two of us had the PCG pasta (chicken, penne pasta, sun-dried tomatoes and broccoli in a roasted garlic and chardonnay sauce). It was OUTSTANDING! For the first time ever, though, there was a small mix-up with our order; entrées came out before a salad that one person in our group ordered. No big deal. Yet, much to our surprise, that person's entire dinner was comped. This kind gest... read more
