This friendly neighborhood hangout feels like it's been around for much longer than it has. Probably because of the old black-and-white photos of Phoenix that cover the walls or the ease with which the patrons settle in for a casual meal or a drink at the bar. Whatever the reason, you will feel comfortable and welcome here. The menu features large portions of all-American mains with Southwestern twists. Pizzas and light bites perfectly complement a glass of wine, beer or cocktail from the bar.

Love the Phoenix City Grill! Green Chili soup and meatloaf were awesome!
On three occasions the food has always been tasty with attentive service. Happen to like the men's grill kind of decor and framed pictures on the wall. Good neighborhood spot and a good mid town location and out of the way of busy corridors.

We chose this restaurant while visiting Phoenix based on several on-line reviews. Its location in a non-descript strip mall had us skeptical, but our doubts disappeared as soon as we entered. Our waitress was a pleasure. It was a Sunday night and it wasn't terribly busy, but all the other diners seemed happy and comfortable. As an appetizer my husband and I shared green chile queso fundido, and it was tasty, although a bit runny. My entree, the surf and turf pasta, was excellent. The beef fillet was extremely tender. This is one of our favorite spots to dine, especially when we are attending functions in the downtown area. The food and service has always been outstanding. This is the place we always take any out of town guest....it always makes a lasting impression. If there has ever been anything not just right, the owner has always been on hand to fix any issue, and m goes out of his way to make everything just right.

This restaurant is a hidden gem. The food was great, and the portions were perfect. The corn griddle cakes were surprisingly awesome. Two of our group had the pot roast which was tender, moist and spiced to perfection. I had the Chicken which was also incredibly moist and tender. I would highly recommend this restaurant for a night out!
