This friendly neighborhood hangout feels like it's been around for much longer than it has. Probably because of the old black-and-white photos of Phoenix that cover the walls or the ease with which the patrons settle in for a casual meal or a drink at the bar. Whatever the reason, you will feel comfortable and welcome here. The menu features large portions of all-American mains with Southwestern twists. Pizzas and light bites perfectly complement a glass of wine, beer or cocktail from the bar.

This restaurant is a hidden gem. The food was great, and the portions were perfect. The corn griddle cakes were surprisingly awesome. Two of our group had the pot roast which was tender, moist and spiced to perfection. I had the Chicken which was also incredibly moist and tender. I would highly recommend this restaurant for a night out!
Must say that what we had to eat at lunch was outstanding. If the Pot Roast and PCG Pasta are any example of the other items, I've got to try it all.
Baby back ribs were tender & tasty. The pork chop special was excellent. The chicken tortilla soup seems to be a perennial "special"; they should just add it to the regular menu. I understand that soft lighting is supposed to create some sort of mood, but I don't think frustration at the inability to see the menu is what they're angling for. Maybe a little less "softness" would be in order.
Gone a number of times and I think it's a good, solid bar and grille. Nice setting, service is good. Spacing of food and drinks(not skimpy)are good. Nice menu between moderate items and a few more expensive. I found that their "speciality" items are the ones I like the most and are the best value...also many dishes you can order a small or reg. portion.....which is a nice option....anyway I ordered pot roast small portion....very good! meat perfect, tendor, no fat etc.....and then added a dinner salad (slightly overpriced fo... read more

Went to the Grill pre-theater and had a very nice experience. The special butternut soup was wonderful. Wait staff was there exactly when needed and the atmosphere was quiet and had low lighting which is nice for dinner.
Wonderful! I brought a friend who had never been to Phoenix City Grille and she was amazed. It is all she has talked about since and she plans to tell all her friends about the restaurant.

I made a reservation in advance but my guests arrived early and were seated at a different table.
