About this business

RestaurantsAmerican

This friendly neighborhood hangout feels like it's been around for much longer than it has. Probably because of the old black-and-white photos of Phoenix that cover the walls or the ease with which the patrons settle in for a casual meal or a drink at the bar. Whatever the reason, you will feel comfortable and welcome here. The menu features large portions of all-American mains with Southwestern twists. Pizzas and light bites perfectly complement a glass of wine, beer or cocktail from the bar.

My guest was a first time visitor and she loved it. She liked the food selection and how great it tasted. I am sure she and her husband will be back.

When we booked the reservation on-line, PCG's web site indicated that there would be two specials, beef tenderloin and halibut, in addition to the brunch menu. Our reservation was for 3 PM. When we were seated, we were told that we were in-between brunch and dinner and the specials were not available. This information should have been indicated on the web site when we made our reservation. We were able to order from the regular menu and the food was good.

We always eat here several times when we visit Phoenix. The food is fresh, interesting and flavorful - the griddle cakes dish is outstanding. The service is friendly and attentive, and it's comfortably quiet during the week.

No one in the valley does fish better than Rory at PCG. He always uses the freshest ingredients and combines them in unique and delicious ways. The menu is great and also try one of the daily specials - always a treat.

Phoenix City Grille is a great place for an important business meeting - tables are well spaced to provide some sense of separateness from your neighbors, the food is excellent and the service is superb.
