Polaris Pool cleaner This is second one we have used...first one lasted 6 years with no problem with the exception of the hose becoming brittle & leaking. Definitely recommend this item...makes having a pool much simpler.
Works great! Works great! Picks up dead frogs, tadpole eggs, the pool thermometer - oh, and leaves! :-) I had an issue where it wouldn't climb the walls and after speaking with Polaris who said "change it so it doesn't try to climb" I was just about to return it (since I think it should do what it's supposed to) until I decided to open it up and look for myself. All it was was the belt divider was in the wrong place!
Swapping out the Ray Vac for the Polaris 360. Wife says we should have bought this vacuum before this. Runs great....does a great job getting the pool clean, and the walls are cleaner now that they have been in a while....less manual scrubbing on our part needed.
Polaris works GREAT! WOW! I never expected this to work so well. It even picks up the "grit" from the bottom of the pool. The quick start directions are a little vague so read the full instructions before getting started.
High maintenance but worth the effort This unit performs as promised and does an excellent job keeping one's pool clean. That said, unless the "filter basket," the little strainer that fits in the end of the connecting hose where it connects at the side of the pool, is cleaned regularly, the unit tends to get "stuck" in corners or when encountering obstacles, such as steps, etc. In short, when the strainer is clogged, the unit loses power and is unable to "back way" from obstacles. OEM This is the exact replacement for my old Polaris. Works as advertised and 2/3 the price of local store. Can't beat that.

Polaris 360 Compared to Ray Vac I recently replaced my Ray Vac unit with Polaris 360 after using Ray Vac for 11 years. I had 2 Ray Vac units during that time and they usually worked well. After a couple of years of heavy use they would sometimes circle the deep end and I would replace a hydro timer or the various jets and that would do the trick. Although reluctant to give up on my Ray Vac they are getting scarce since discontinued and are expensive to purchase ($1,150) or repair. So I decided after a fair amount of research... read more
Used to replace a scorpion model that seldom worked for a larger in ground pool We really like this product. Most of the instruction manual made sense and was easy to follow. The method and need to replace the flow checker was not apparent and we thought we needed an adaptor when all we needed was to pull off the flow checker fitting (with a bit of force that would make you think something is going to break).
