The Polaris does well picking up debris with the exception of sand.

This cleaner does a good job. It's slow and precise. It's really good at picking up leaves and course dirt on the bottom of pool. If the dirt is fine you will have to manual vacuum. It times itself off if you forget about it and all you do is hit start again. Good cleaner.

The cleaner does an excellent job of cleaning the pool including fine sand. However debris gets caught in all of the nooks and crannies to easily and it is difficult to clear.

Absolutely great product. Best thing is it gets sides of pool clean. Hassle free. Plug it in and it does the work for you. We like it so much we named it Tank. Definitely would recommend to others.
