The cleaner does an excellent job of cleaning the pool including fine sand. However debris gets caught in all of the nooks and crannies to easily and it is difficult to clear.

Absolutely great product. Best thing is it gets sides of pool clean. Hassle free. Plug it in and it does the work for you. We like it so much we named it Tank. Definitely would recommend to others.

This little vacuum is fantastic, light weight, easy to clean debris basket, climbs walls & steps with ease. For all of those I give it a 5 star review…the 4 star is because it doesn’t learn the shape of the pool so it doesn’t run in any kind of pattern. It moves around in a random pattern, so since it doesn’t run in a grid (by learning the shape of the pool, like a roomba does in a house) it doesn’t always clean the whole pool during its 2 hour run time.

We are new pool owners and had to research a vacuum since we do not have a caged pool here in Florida. We have quite a bit of trees over the pool. I didn't want anything complicated that had to connect to the filter system. I bought this polaris cleaner since this company is well known for it's cleaners and it was a few hundred dollars more than a normal cleaner, but it was easier to use. The Polaris 7240 Sport was provided to me when I had my new pool installed. I knew nothing about pools and the dealer chose the pool cleaner. I’ve had the cleaner for about a year and a half before it stopped working. I took it to Leslie’s Pool Supply about 3 weeks ago where it has sat. I got a call from them yesterday that they are unable to repair the robot and that Polaris is shipping a new one out. Robot cleans well when working. Taking awhile to get it back under warranty. No idea what the problem is. .
