Multiple unit failure. Buy something else. I have purchased two of these units over the last few years and the last one only worked for exactly 13 months. If you do enough research on these units you'll find that there's something called the dreaded ER 10 error, where the vacuum unit begins to no longer be able to properly communicate with the control box. You will get all kinds of recommendations like unplugging and resetting the unit, cleaning the ends of the cable, rolling the wheels to make sure that there's no debris, y... read more

Error Code issues I have been running this unit for about a year. I am very disappointed at how quick it has stopped working. While in use and when functioning it works great, but many times it would just stop and give an error code. Normally when I would unplug and reset and start again it would work. finally it gives an error code and won't work at all now. A whole lot of money for something that stops working so fast.

Don’t waste your time or money The reason for my review is mostly due to customer service. I have the error 10 code and have bought a $400 new cord which didn’t fix it, but there is no answer when calling the customer service number. I’m not one to leave reviews, but I don’t want anyone else to go through this. I need my pool vacuumed, so the time, money, and efforts wasted are beyond frustrating! I emailed and got an auto response telling me to call if it’s important. I have been calling for days. The cleaner did work well ... read more

Cord, filter, remote Okay so for this much money you advertised that it's a tangle-free cord, yeah right! No matter what I do putting it out in the sun it constantly tangles up! And I heard that you're selling a tangle free one for over $300 are you kidding me? Also for $1,200 don't you think that you could include define silt filter instead of the regular one I had about of algae and this was worthless. And the remote control are you kidding me with that as well? Doesn't work All the three things that I really wanted and ne... read more

Avoid at all costs! $1,200 bucks down the drain x2 I have owned 2 of these over the past 2 years and both times ended in disappointment. The first 9550 worked great out of the box but unfortunately, that only lasted for several months. Of note - we only put it in the pool when we need to clean it and then remove it from the water. Got an Error 10 - communication between the control panel and vacuum was lost. Lots of back and forth between Polaris and I - finally, they sent out a new vacuum under warranty which lasted for abo... read more

Doesn't clean thoroughly I've owned this unit for more than 6 months now. I give this robot an F for cleaning. This robot comes with a pretty sizable collection basket. The inlet to the basket is about 1 inch by 12 inch wide. It doesn't allow the unit to pick up rocks. We don't own a rectangular pool, our pool has different curves and in ground. They advertise this robot with the ability to do our types of pools. We set the robot in and program it to go as long as the timer allows, when we take it out the basket is barely half... read more

Cleaning? Yes; Robotics? TBD The media could not be loaded. *I will amend this review depending upon problem resolution*I purchased a 9550 Sport model pool vacuum via Amazon a couple of weeks ago and I’m having a problem with the ‘robotic’ part of the the unit- the product cleans fine. I have a 20’ x 40’ plastered inground pool (refinished last summer) so I set up the unit to clean the sides and bottom of the pool. The waterline is set to about 4” below the top of the pool. When I used the unit the first time it would climb ... read more

Worked well for a couple of month, then fizzled---waiting for Zodiac to respond The media could not be loaded. I bought this cleaner after much research in August of 2019. I like that it is electric, not requiring the pump to run, which greatly facilitates closing the pool. I used it for maybe two months before the pool was closed. In began opening my pool the following April. After a few weeks of flawless functioning, I suddenly had an Error Code #10. I troubleshooted this with the manual and online resources. Finally I call... read more

Expensive machine, cheap performance- JUNK! I have had a Nautilus Dolphin robot cleaner for four years and it just died, so I asked my local pool store for a recommendation and they recommended this Polaris machine and all I can say is, I am disappointed. The good: The machine is fairly light, the remote control is kinda cool, the filter is very easy to remove and clean, and the machine climbs the walls much better than the Nautilus, which only climbed halfway up the wall most of the time. Unfortunately, the negatives are ou... read more
