Perfect for my 18×36 inground/vynil Update: In its fourth summer of operation, and still going strong. I take care to lay out the cable without twists along the pool edge before pressing start, and always rinse off and dry the filter basket, the cable and the unit itself after each use - and store the unit in a shed during swim season (to protect it from UV damage) and indoors during winter. The anti-twist connector is a bit too tight to prevent cable twists, but it has not been an issue for my single-cycle operation. I do u... read more

Works The product we got in was DOA. Took it to my local dealer and a few days later product was repaired with new control head and works. It doesn't do as well as I had hoped in that it goes in random patterns and that means it doesn't always cover the entire pool area. The remote while it works is not the easiest to use, but that could just be me. I like the easy out and cleaning the unit is easy. Given electronics today and capabilities I wish it would map out the pool and store the map. I think that would speed the proce... read more

Finally, A Great Pool Cleaner I've taken over the care of the family pool. The house belonged to my in-laws, but he is 95 and can't do much of anything anymore. He always used the Polaris cleaner that attached to the pool filtration system. It would run for 6 hours at night and required cleaning out the next day. I felt it was doing a poor job, so I ordered an electric Maytronics Dolphin Quantum back in August. That unit worked fine for a couple of months, but stopped working in December. I sent it in to be repaired and it o... read more

Great unit! Cleans what Triton PS couldn't The media could not be loaded. Currently testing Polaris 9550. We have a free form pool with lots of curves. It is feature rich with remote, swivel cable, caddy etc. I love the Polaris 9550. Oh and it rolls over the raised drain easy and collected the sand by benches/steps that the Dolphin Triton PS was not able to. See my review and why I returned the Triton PS unit for refund. The Polaris 9550 came with standard filter so I am ordering the fine dust version. The unit is great build... read more

GREAT FOR LIGHT USE I live in the desert and we get a lot of really fine dirt in the wind that ends up at the bottom of our pool quite regularly. The Zodiac Polaris F9550 Sport Robotic In-Ground Pool Cleaner does a great job roaming around the pool and sucking up the dirt. The filter that comes with the machine has much bigger holes in the filter basket and would not pick up any of the fine dirt, but they sell a fine mesh filter basket that does get absolutely all of the dirt, at an extra cost.THINGS I LOVE ABOUT IT:It's all... read more

I love this Polaris it makes keeping my pool clean a ... I love this Polaris it makes keeping my pool clean a lot easier. I can put it in the pool and forget about it for a while which frees me up to get other things done. The one thing I don’t like about it is the cord the goes from the Polaris to the caddy gets tangled up all the time and when you try to wind it up on the caddy it goes all kinds of directions which drives me crazy!! I have stretched it out and unwound it but after I put in the pool a couple of times it’s w... read more

Why i waited so long?!?! I am using polaris 360 for over 10 years and does a great job but recently got solar pool heater and it added more load to my pool pump so decided to look for a way to unload the pump. Looked around but my local pool stores are way more expensive and they were lack of knowledge. So i decided to go with jandy zodiac one more time since my old 360 did a great job except every three or four year maintained. Amd also jandy seems well built and lots of service dealers around. I got it today and started wo... read more

Is it worth it? Have been using for 1 season. I have a salt water pool with pebble tech surface. It navigates surprisingly well. It did get stuck on one occasion by getting wedged between a step and the pool lip edge in the corner of the pool. Otherwise this thing can get out of almost any situation even if it flips over. Fun to watch! I have a 16,000 gallon rectangle pool. I does not get the smaller steps or the sun shelf. The unit has to be completely submerged to work and in order to do the sides and tops of steps the wid... read more

Update: Still does a fantastic job! Update: Over one year of use now and still working great with no problems. The remote gets a lot of use, mainly to position the vacuum for lift when its job is done. The photo shows the leaf canister post vacuuming after a recent thunderstorm. The heavily littered pool bottom was clean in 2 hours.Original: We have used our new Polaris F9550 for 2 1/2 months now. At first we were very disappointed as the unit seemed to just stir up the finer debris in the pool that then settled back to the ... read more
