Terrible service, only ok cleaner Works for one season. That's it. Then I tried to get it fixed under the warranty. They sent me to a place an hour from my home for repair. The repair business has had my pool robot for 4 months, and it is still not fixed. They keep saying they are understaffed, but they usually don't seem to know what is going on. I finally reached out to Polaris again. They said they didn't have any claims from the pool repair business, and my warranty was now expired. They would not do anything. Polaris se... read more
Designed to fail This cleaner is designed to fail.Any device is only as good as its weakest component. In this case, it’s the cable back to the controller - for which the company charges $480 - about 40% of the total cost of the product.I’ve owned four models of this cleaner, all built on the same design. In every case, the cable has developed problems within the first year. To get a better sense of this, just search YouTube for “Polaris Error 10”, and you’ll see what you’re getting. Why do I keep buying this line? Simply bec... read more
A year is all you get This is my third vacuum. You get about a year out of them. The patterns are all messed up, it's constantly throwing error codes, and overall does just an ok job. At $1600 a vacuum, Polaris has been a thorn in my side.
DO NOT BUY Broke right after the 2 year warranty expired. Over $600 to replace the motor which is over half the complete replacement cost. Absolute garbage.
It sucks Run as fast as you can from this product. It worked great then started getting error codes look it for repairs covered under warranty. Ran for. 1 day then started with error codes. Codes the company they sent me a new one. Very nice but the new did the same thing after one season. If you looking to spend that kind of money for one season but this product.
Died after three years. Find a different product Died in its third year of use. Look for another product
Poor reliability, both the robot and the support. Although the robot works well to begin with, it is not robust. First one failed, replaced with a new one which then also failed. Reaching out to Polaris through Amazon got no response, and calling their support directly puts you in endless hold until they promise a callback, which they don’t do.So in summary, the robot fails within two years, and the support is nonexistent. Spend $1000 on a different brand if you want something that will last and is supported.
Seized motor Although this Polaris started off strong May 2023, and cleaned fairly well, the motor seized on 7/01/25. The plastic gears and sleeves were all rotted and worn. The trying to get ahold of customer service was almost impossible. Put it on the curb hoping someone would take it for scrap! Very disappointed it failed after only two years
Stopped working after 2 years, paid over $1000.00 We have had the Polaris 9550 robotic pool sweep for two years, it just went out of warranty and it will cost more to have it fixed than we purchased it for. If I can get some suggestions on how to get it repaired by the company we bought it from, that would be great! It has an error 4, which I guess means “short circuit on the right side of sweep”
