A very expensive Robotic Vacuum This is a very expensive machine. Polaris has a good reputation so I went for it. I wanted a pool vac that would also brush. First, the machine climbes to far up the walls and shuts off. When this happens, the entire weeks program has to be re-entered. The robot climbs out even if it is set just for the floor area and not the tile. It does this on both the bench seat and climbing the steps. This is hugely annoying as it is usless to set a week setting when it will never run an entire week befo... read more
Good Robot! We ordered the Polaris 9550 pool cleaner after having an Aquabot T2 (which is also a good piece of equipment). We went with this model because of the remote control and good reviews from another web site. So far I really like this machine. Yes, it is largely plastic, but with a salt water pool, that's what I need. This is the easiest pool robot we have used in the 11 years of having a large, inground, fiber glass pool. Our pool is 40x16x8, and the Polaris cleans the entire pool in about 1.5 hours. Our pool has so... read more
Error code stops working We paid over 1000.00 for this . It worked great we loved it BUT it only lasted 9 months! Error code! Called customer service told us to go to Leslie’s Pool Store. We waited months to get it back ! Finally after 5 months they replaced it . That one did not work either got the error code on that one the day we brought it home. so we took it back to Leslie’s pool! Waited weeks and weeks then they gave us another one and that did work but Only for a few months and got error code again! Really wish they w... read more
Broke at 5 months TV Stopped working after 5 months. Way too expensive to not last that long
Designed to fail?! It lasted 2 years! The motor, wire and console had to be replaced. Luckily was still in warranty.Less than a year later the motor fails again and the right axle fails. No longer in warranty they quoted $850 before tax to fix. It's 3 and half years old, it's been in the shop for repairs twice! $850 to fix an $1100 cleaner. The replaced motor is less than a year old. Designed to fail?! Absolutely ridiculous!
Do not buy ! Will last 2 years if you are lucky. Junk! Would not recommend, Way too expensive, not worth it. Buy cheaper ones and you will be better off.
Terrible service, only ok cleaner Works for one season. That's it. Then I tried to get it fixed under the warranty. They sent me to a place an hour from my home for repair. The repair business has had my pool robot for 4 months, and it is still not fixed. They keep saying they are understaffed, but they usually don't seem to know what is going on. I finally reached out to Polaris again. They said they didn't have any claims from the pool repair business, and my warranty was now expired. They would not do anything. Polaris se... read more
Designed to fail This cleaner is designed to fail.Any device is only as good as its weakest component. In this case, it’s the cable back to the controller - for which the company charges $480 - about 40% of the total cost of the product.I’ve owned four models of this cleaner, all built on the same design. In every case, the cable has developed problems within the first year. To get a better sense of this, just search YouTube for “Polaris Error 10”, and you’ll see what you’re getting. Why do I keep buying this line? Simply bec... read more
A year is all you get This is my third vacuum. You get about a year out of them. The patterns are all messed up, it's constantly throwing error codes, and overall does just an ok job. At $1600 a vacuum, Polaris has been a thorn in my side.
