Polaris G52 Back-up Valve Assembly. This is a factory original Polaris replacement back up valve. It has a timer mechanism inside that diverts water out of a jet every 5-10 minutes. This jet acts as a back up, pulling the cleaner out from the pool floor or wall. There is an arrow on one side of the hose barb that should face towards the cleaner. Failed after 10 months. Split at the cap and spraying water. This is supposed to be a "genuine" Polaris part. A China knockoff I purchased previously lasted longer.

Doesn't work like they used to The valve leaks a lot of water in-between it jetting. The jetting works well, but the leak makes the droid not work to its full potential. Very disappointed since this is Polaris brand and not a cheap knockoff.

Lasted one season The original valve lasted many years before finally failing. I tried a couple of the cheap replacements that failed within a year so I decided to go back to the brand product and pay a lot more hoping it would last like the original product.No such luck. This product also failed in less than a season. The valve is stuck open like the other failures.I've decided to go with Airlie valves which are made in the US and have a lifetime warranty. They are also a lot less expensive than Zodiac valves. Only time wil... read more
